I could feel her jump as i put my arm around her. She was most likely uncomfortable, I moved my arm and put my hands in my lap awkwardly. This wasn't going to be easy, I wonder why she was here in the first place for her to be on edge like that. I looked at the television to see the old classic 'Lady and the Tramp' her choice had made me raise an eyebrow. I haven't watched this movie since I was young and when I say young I mean barely understood the point of the movie. Which now obviously is like a virtual slap in the face. Two dogs falling in love. I raise an eyebrow at her putting on the subtitles. Great now I don't only see them falling in love, but also reading it. This girl is a tease. I let out a short sigh and watch the movie anyways.

I bit my bottom lip as took his arms away from around me and relaxed visibly. My thoughts wandered away on me and I zoned out. Why did my best friend have to set me up for this? Does she seriously think I'd fall in love...here?! She knows my past...I wasn't actually abandoned...well, I was abandoned by my big sister and my mom, they left me with Dad...I shuddered a little at the flashbacks, without realizing it. I ran away from Dad and got myself a job and a new house...so, my mom and my big sister may as well have left me on the streets. I sighed and Malee, who was sitting on the couch, along with Belle and Teddy, noticed how troubled I was and asked for me to pet her, so I did, a slight smile on my face as I did so. Malee had been with me...since...well, since I left Dad's house, a suitcase in hand, crying hard.

I look over at Nunki in the corner of my eye and noticed she was petting her dog but looked a little bit upset. Should I say something? What if I made her really uncomfortable.. I was always bad when it came to people getting a little emotional. Like this one time, one of my friends and their girlfriend had split up and he was crushed, I didn't really know what to say to him other than "Theres more fish in the sea, she just wasn't the right one." Which probably made him feel worse..I kept looking at the T.V. then back at her a few times before talking to her "Uhm are you okay, you look a little down. Sorry if that was from me." I looked at her with a small frown on my face.

I looked up at Donny, startled, then I realized I had let my mind wander away with me. I shook my head and said, "Yah...I'm okay...just...thinking of some things. It's not because of you." My voice was soft, like a shy person would have their voice to be. I blinked and gave him a, what is probably an unconvincing smile. I was still petting Malee, almost unconsciously. I don't know why, but interacting with animals has always made me feel better, no matter what.

I think she had been zoning out or something, mind lost in a disturbing memory or thinking about the future, after all I am not a mind reader so I wouldn't know, she smiles a little at me and her voice is soft and quiet but I continue to stare at her unconvinced "Do you mind me asking what you're thinking about?" I ask her, I hope if she does choose to share it'll maybe lift weight off her shoulders or something. Sometimes sharing things makes yourself feel better, other times it can be a regret if you tell somebody you don't trust. But I want this girl to trust me.

I swallowed hard and quickly shook my hard, I could barely breathe. The memories were all coming back fully now. In the past few years I had locked away all memories of the bad parts of my past because...well, because I would break down at random times when I didn't know how to lock away those memories. I closed my eyes, trembling. I did not feel like I was here, when I am. I swallowed hard again, struggling to re-lock the bad memories. I did not want to remember them. I did not want to be like this, at all.

"Hm..." He looked off in what he feigned to be thought. "Well," he turned back to her, "I think I should join you. That is, if I'm granted your permission... After all, what's trouble without me?" He chuckled and flashed a sly smile. So far, this was interesting... She was a very good partner - very flirtatious and very able to hold her own when it came to his advances. Her overall aura was fearless. He had to admit he was genuinely impressed. ...Well, impressed - yes, but still, he was more sure of himself and his abilities in this situation.

-----Sienna tilted her head as if she were pondering letting him tag along. "Well... I guess you have my permission to come along." She responded, glancing over at him. "That is, if you can handle it." She smiled and threw in a wink just for the kicks of it. She released his hands and pushed herself off the wall. "Allow me to get my phone and then we shall be off on our adventures." With that, she turned on her heel and strutted down the hall and into her room. Sienna had left her phone on the bed and snatched it up with a manicured hand. She shoved it in her pocket and checked her appearance in the hanging mirror on the faded wall of the room. She sighed slightly and fixed her brunette hair before walking out of the bedroom and shutting the door with her hip. " Alright, let's go !" she announced, as she moved towards the door.

My eyes widen, now I've done it. I could tell something was wrong, I could hear her hard swallow as if she were holding back tears. I bit my lip, do I hug her? I don't know what to do.. This isn't good. I thought, I didn't know what to say to her. "Hey" I say softly to her as I wrapped both my arms around her and brought her close. If I were upset I'd want a hug. I stroked her back lightly and didn't bother to say anything else. She'll say something if she wanted me to know.
