He was easier to swim with than most people. Not that I had to swim this far ever before. I finally made it across and dragged him up onto the beach. "Okay" I took off my jacket and handed it to him. "Keep holding this against the wound if you can. And DON'T pass out if you can." I needed to make sure the bleeding would stop and make sure it didn't hit anything vital. "Can you still breathe okay?"
