Percy
I walk on the beach with a bunch of other foster kids like me. Out cast at school, quiet, shy and don't want to be here. We all sit on the shore with the people that run the foster home. Sadly, besides them i am the oldest, never adopted as a toddler.
"Percy, why dont you take the kids into the water?" Jim ask, he is the "dad" of the foster systems. I stare at him with bored eyes before sighing and getting up. I pick up the youngest at the home, Savanah. She is only three. The other kids walk over to the water and i trail behind. Savanah babbles happily as i sit in shallow water with her. She giggles and splashes me.
"Perc!!"she cheers. I give a sad smile. There are lots of people here because school just got out.

The sounds of music blasting from my phone startled me, causing me to roll off the bed. Tangled up in the sheets of my bed, I huffed and struggled to untangle myself. Once I finally managed to untangle myself from the mess, I sat up and reached for my phone, turning off the music. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair and glanced out the window that overlooked the beach. It was nice living by the beach, being able to glance at the waves crashing on the shore, and the people outside playing in the sand. I decided to take Kyoto out for a run on the beach, since it was such a nice day out and I needed to get out of the house before my parents yelled at me. The last thing I needed was to get yelled at on the start of my summer vacation.

It was nice that school was out for the summer, and that meant that I did not have to worry about homework and all the junk from school. I started to get ready, seeing that I would be out for a while. I slipped on my bathing suit, which was a red and black stripped bikini, and I put on some shorts. I pulled my hair back in a messy ponytail, and then grabbed my phone, headphones and dashed down the stairs. I called to Kyoto, who was stretched out on the kitchen floor. The red merle Aussie jolted up from his slumber and padded over to me, stubby tail wagging his whole body. "Atta boy Kyo, ready for a walk?" I asked him and the young pup barked with excitement, and ran to the door.

I laughed, then I reached for his leash just in case, and headed out the door that led to the beach. I made my way through the sanded pathway, watching Kyoto carefully. Kyoto was pretty good off leash, though I did not want to make any chances with him. I whistled for him, and the blue eyed canine came bounding back. I began to pick up the pace, and Kyoto let out a yip and ran alongside me, tongue hanging out of his mouth. I saw some people on the beach, but it didn't bother me since I was used to it and Kyoto was not phased by them.

Percy
I still sit in the shallow water. Savanah is now asleep curled up in my lap, her head resting lightly. I get up, still holding onto Savanah. When i turn i dont see the girl running and i bump into her, savanah stirs awake and starts crying.
"Im sorry," I say to both girls. I start trying to calm down savanah. Jim stomps up looking pissed and i cringe away slightly. He is rather short tempered and can be abusive. He has gone to court for it a lot and each time the cases was judged innocent. Most of the cases were from me.

I felt someone bump into me, causing me to stumble into the water. Kyoto yipped and stepped to the side. I heard someone apologize and I heard a little girl cry. My heart sank, hearing her cry. "It is alright, I should have watched where I was going." I said and then I saw someone come over, looking pissed. My body sent a shiver down my spine, causing me to have flashbacks of my childhood. Kyoto stood close to me, keeping his eyes on the strange men that came over, pissed.

"Sorry," I say to the girl from my school. Jim snatches the still crying Savanah away from me and i cringe away again.
"Yer such an idiot! Why dont you watch where the heck yer going?!?" He snaps. I swallow nervously.
"I- I didnt mean to....." I whisper.
"I cant wait for yer ass to get kicked out on the streets when yer 18!" he snaps. He then turns and stomps back over to the chairs we have set up on the beach.

Be'Leya stretched as she stepped out of the house. Summer vacation at last. It's about time. she thought as she turned back towards the house. "Anyone joining me to the beach?" she called into the house. "You're loud." Gardis growled as he walked out and past her with a yawn. She crossed her arms and stuck her tongue out at his back before following him. A small group of kids also followed.

When they got to the beach, Gardis walked off along the waters in silence. That left Be'Leya with her little brothers and sisters. The orphans looked really happy to be at the beach, which brought a smile to her face.

"Oh it is alright, I am not in the slightest upset." I said with a soft smile. I felt bad for the young man, and then I watched everything happen and I was a bit surprised and shocked, but I did not let it phase me. "I am Ashy by the way." I added.

Percy
I give a small, sad smile back to her.
"Im percy," I mumble. Another kid from the orphanage i live in comes running up.
"OHHHHHH Percy is this yer girlfriend?!?!" He ask. I blush in embarrasment and scowl down at Sebastain. He gives an innocent grin.
"No. She is not my girlfriend." I reply. he pouts and rolls his eyes.
"When are ya gonna get one? Ive had more girfriens than you and im only 13! and ive only had one!" He exclaims. I blush again and scowl even more at him. He laughs and takes back off into the water.
"Sorry, I live with a bunch of other kids.... and they can get nosy and embarassing..." I say

I chuckled and brushed a piece of hair back from my face and glanced at the young boy. "Nice to meet you. And this is my dog Kyoto. I live with a messy twin brother, so this does not phase me in the slightest."I explained, and then rubbed Kyoto behind the ears.
