Laurie sat on a bench in the park. She was reading the news paper. 'Not like there is a point. Nothing goes on in this town anyways.' She thought, rolling her eyes

Elliot the new kid in town jogs through a park. He sees a girl on a park bench making a strange face at her newspaper. He jogs passed she glances up and he watches her as he jogs by causeing himself to trip on a ridge in the path twisting his ankle. he lets out a groan more over the fact that he fell in front of someone and not that he fell.

Laurie saw the boy fall and sighed, standing. She walked over to him, looking down at him. "Honey are okay?" She asked.

Elliot Pushed the hair out of his face already struggling to stand... " sorry i was a bit distracted... i didnt expect there to be a bump there... im... GAH!!" Elliot let out a yelp as he tried to put weight on his ankle. and leaned against a tree. " Ill be... fine" Elliot panted

Laurie held out an arm. "Come on. I'm taking you over to my place to get you fixed up."

" Im fine.. Look.." He gets off the tree and trys to walk and almost falls into the girl. " i just need to walk it off." he cringes. still not putting any weight on his ankle he takes one look at the girls face and decides not to argue any further and takes the girls arm.

Laurie walked him towards the slightly more run down part of town. "You will learn quick honey that even though I'm just 16, EVERYONE knows not to argue with me." She said.

"Oh yea. I think it was that killer look." He smiles limping along next to her.

Laurie rolled her eyes and smiled a little. She lead him up the steps of a two story white farm house and look him inside.
