Hailey looked out the window as she heard the rain. Rain was her favorite weather of all. She HATED everything about heat and summer. She heard the thunder and smiled slightly. When the power went out she remained inn her seat and smiled gently. She rolled her eyes as a few teens yelled in horror. [color =#800000]"Best day of school ever,"[/color] she said faintly as she tried to look for anyone in the dark.

Amanda
I admit I was terrified when the power went out. When Aidan grabbed my hand, I felt safe.. like a blanket of safety fell over my shoulders. I leaned my head on Aidan's shoulder as he rubbed my left shoulder. Every so often the lights would flicker and immediately turn off. I like high school now; it's bringing me closer to Aidan and I have met a lot of new people. Lots of students rush past me and Aidan and grab flashlights or their phones and desperately search for their friends. I feel secure and protected. When Brynna stands next to us it makes me feel even safer. "Hey Brynna!" I say to her. "Hi!" she replies gleefully. Aidan lets go of my shoulder but I keep my head resting on his shoulder.

I flinched every time the lights would flicker. I looked around pain shooting in my knee. I looked around nervously hoping no one would trip over me.

I'm glad Amanda knew I was going to math class. When I went to grab something off my desk I bumped into a girl. I remembered her name as Skylar. Brynna stayed at the door with Amanda. "Oof! Sorry... your name is Skylar right?"
