Hailey looked at the teacher but paid absolutely no attention to what the teacher was saying. As she noticed a note on her desk she smiled. It didn't take her long to write down her answer.

Cody looked at the note and grinned. Never heard blessthefall before, i'll look them up when i get home. He wrote it down and passed it back.

I sighed sitting down in math class ignoring the popular girls glares. I brushed the hair from my eyes and looked at my shirt. Green Day... amazing... I thought being slightly proud of my wonderful shirt of a wonderful band. My hair drooped over my face again and I slightly grunted pushing it away again.

Hailey read the note and was slightly shocked. Just when I thought you were cool. You've ben missing out man! she passed the note with a small smile.

Second period just ended and I still don't have any friends. There is a girl I saw in the hallway with rainbow colored hair. It looked pretty cool, in fact I wanted to dye my hair like that but my mom said no. I think her name was Izzy, maybe I should talk to her. I push my glasses back up to the bridge if my nose and place my canvas bag in my hand. I take a look at my shedule and see that I have English after homeroom. I've heard the teachers nice, hopefully they're right. I fix my headband place the schedule back in my bag and slip my arm through the hole. I walk out and see that hallway is crowded than ever. I have to literally push people out of the way to get through. "Excuse me, oof." I say as I try to make my way pass. "Excuse me, sorry pardon me." I see a teen coming full speed at me. "Get out of my way!" He shouts. I try to but I can't move anywhere. He thinks I was trying to be smart with him so he pushes me against a locker. "OW!" I shout, but he's already gone. I sigh. I shove my hands into the pockets of my jeans. Out of nowhere, thunder roars deeply, deep enough to cause the whole school to shake. "What going on?" I shout. Then another clap of thunder roars, only this time shaking the school so fierce it makes the lights go out in the hallway. It's a complete blackout! Everywhere there are kids trying to get past me, scrambling past me. There's no damage to the school but apparently the lights going out can be a little scary on your first day of high school.

My eyes widened as the lights went out and I had just got up and I was in the middle of the class! I freaked out a bit but stayed calm not moving. I peered through the darkness and unfortunately the class room had no windows so I could barely see.

When the lights shut off, I immediately looked for Amanda who just bumped into a nice girl apparently named Brynna. "Yeah she's like a new friend!" Amanda said. Brynna had long curly black hair. I grabbed Amanda's hand. "Are you ok?" I asked her. "Yeah."

I looked around making my way back to my seat and tripping over a desk. I let out a quiet grunt trying to stand. My knee was in horrible pain and I looked through the dark hopelessly.

Cody smiled at the note, picking up his pencil to reply. Right before he did so, he heard a loud clap of thunder. Then, a few seconds later, the power went off. He heard a few gasps spread around the room, people trying to find one another.

I peered through the darkness and sighed again. Attempting to stand, a let out a quiet painful gasp. Unable to see my knee I let out another quiet sigh of pain. Just another reason to hate math...
