Centry's Ranch « Accepting« NEEDS PEOPLE

Lucie
Lucie sat behind the wheel of her dark-green jeep. She had been invited to come and join the other folks at Centry Ranch, a place she had only ever heard about before, now she was getting to see it for the first time. She turned onto the dirt road drive that led up to the ranch and grinned when her horse, Sunny, let out an impatient whinny from the horse trailer behind the jeep. The mare was as eager to get to the Ranch as Lucie was. She finally pulled in front of the house before turning the vehicle off and stepping out. She wasn't sure where she was supposed to unload her mare and didn't know where to find anyone to ask.

William
William was working in the arena with his horse Remedy, so far he had been here a few days and already got himself settled in and felt the need to spend some time with his horse. Remedy has always had this fear of jumping and he figured he could just get Remedy to jump a barrel and see that it was really no big deal. This proved harder than it seemed, Remedy was not going to willingly jump the barrel, even if he did like William. After a couple failed tries William gave it up for the day, his horse just didn't want to jump.

Lilian saw a person pull up. " oh the new people." she rushed out there in her uggs to greet her.` "Hello, Welcome to Centry Ranch." she smiled.

Lucie
Lucie let out an obvious sigh of relief when Lilian came out and welcomed her to Centry Ranch. She smiled, "Thank you, I was a little worried I might have gotten the directions wrong, I'm Lucie Richards." She stuck out a hand for Lilian to shake, she didn't want to appear rude or snobbish.

Lilian shook. "Nice meeting you, You can put the trailer right over there." she pointed to the end of the barn. "If you need any help with your things I will be at the arena." she smiled and pointed that way. She walked off to the ARENA. " Hey William, How's Remedy doing?" she smiled walking towards him.

Lucie
Lucie said a quick thanks to Lilian before hopping back into her jeep and driving it out of the way of the house and parking near the barn. She took a quick look inside the barn before unloading her mare, Sunny let out a huff of air before her ears perked up along with her head, she heard other horses. Lucie lead her mare into an open stall without horse neighbors on either side, Sunny didn't bite people but other horses were a different matter.

William
William sighed when Lilian asked how Remedy was doing. "He's fine, still being spooky about that barrel. He's fine when it's standing up but once it's laid down it's like a whole new thing for him." Remedy, who had avoided being caught by William since William was trying to get him near the blue plastic monster in the middle of the arena, eagerly walked up to Lilian. He nudged her shoulder with his nose, hoping for a treat.

"You caught me." she laughed pulling a treat out for him. " But you have to do one thing, jump the barrel." she said sternly taking a hold of his lead line. "He should jump it, if not I can ask my dad to come and train him." she sighed rubbing remedy's neck. she clicked making him go over the barrel. " Good boy." she laughed and fed him the treat. " just feed him treats if he does it." she smiled.

William
William couldn't believe that a treat had Remedy jumping the barrel like it was nothing. "Jumping the barrel for a treat, I didn't expect that." He admitted, Remedy sniffed Lilian's hands curiously searching for more treats. "I guess he is one of those horses that will do anything for treats." He rubbed behind Remedy's ears.

Lucie
Lucie easily put all of her horses tack into the tack room, now that she had everything put away she parked her small horse trailer beside a fancier looking one near the barn. So now that her horse and tack were put away it, she headed towards the cabins labeled with numbers. She headed into cabin number two and put her bags down beside one of the beds.

Lilian Handed the bag of treats to William. "Yeah well." she laughed. I'll see you later." she smiled. She went in the barn. She got the hay basket and went to the stalls and put the hay in.
