[[Everyone's kind of just waking up and making their way to some places c: A few at the skate park, one at the beach, and one near the park I think.]]

----------Stephen stopped pedaling the old bike as he rolled down the slight hill. He breathed in the warming air as he made his way to the skate park. Soon the boy turned into the complex and heading for the bike rack. He stopped the bicycle with his right foot and swung his left leg over the top of the seat. After he had locked up the front wheel, he made his way casually over to the small park near the skating bowl. He found a spot that wasn't directly in the sun, but actually in a nice position to watch the skaters. Only a few were out this morning, but he could still make do. Stephen slid the backpack off of his shoulders and took out the worn sketchbook and a pencil. He opened to a blank page and watched the skaters make their way around the turns and corners of the bowl. A few would every so often hook their front wheels to the high edges, then hop off and take off back down the slope. The jumpers were always the most interesting for Stephen. He began sketching lightly on the page, looking back and forth from the skaters and his sketchbook. He would surely have this whole page and maybe the next filled if more skaters filtered in or the talent of the current ones would stick around for a while.

Taylor watched the skaters from afar as she walked. She was near the bowl but not directly near it, she kept her distance because she knew she was a clumsy type of person and knowing her, she would fall in the bowl. She looked around for a moment before she pushed her blonde hair out of her face. The girl didn't realize she was in Stephen's direct line of sight of the skaters, she had yet to see the young man. She stood there, continuing to watch the people skate, impressed by their talent on wheels, she was the more music centered type of person but she didn't mind getting out and bike riding if she wanted to

----------Stephen was finishing up a third sketch with an extremely hard pose. He was adding some minor details to it without checking his live references for a little bit. When he moved his pencil aside for a moment, touched up one of the arms on the little drawing, he decided that that one was done for now. As he looked over his tiny sketches, he noticed that he was missing one of the tricks that was one of his favorites. He looked back towards the skating bowl and noticed a girl who seemed to be around his own age standing partially in his way. He thought for a moment about a small plan. He wasn't really good about being patient with people when he was busy drawing, but then again, he wasn't very social to begin with and wasn't good at approaching others. He blew a quiet breath then set his pencil down in the lush grass. He closed the sketchbook, too, and placed it next to the pencil. He stood up and made his way over to the girl. "Hey, um, excuse me?" he said fairly quickly and tapped the girl's left arm. "I-I'm kinda using the skaters as references for some drawings and you happened to walk in front of me..." Stephen's voice tumbled away and died out by the end of his one-breath sentence. He reminded himself to breath while talking, especially to someone he didn't know.

The girl did not see or hear Stephen's approach. When he tapped her shoulder, she nearly jumped out of her skin. Taylor looked over at him, blue green gaze watching him curiously as he spoke to her. He seemed pretty shy and usually for her it was the other way around. She tried to think of something to say when he finished. "Oh, uh. I'm uh sorry. I didn't realize..." She trailed off near the end, running out of words. She was truly sorry and she hadn't meant to get in anyone's way. The young woman looked over towards the skating bowl before she looked back to Stephen. "I'll move. I really am sorry for getting in your way." She explained to him with a shake of her head. Taylor then took her hand and pushed back and tucked the blonde strands of hair out of her face and behind her ear.

----------Stephen gave a nervous smile towards the girl's reaction to his appearance. "No, no, it's fine. It's not like I own that spot over there and nobody is allowed to stand near there," he replied after a moment. His hands were hidden in his pockets and he accepted the apology lightly. He wasn't one to get really outwardly angry with people and completely blow up about one tiny thing. He shifted his weight back and forth for a few awkward moments of silence. He was doubling back on the entire conversation and noticed that both of them were equally shy of each other. Both teens seemed to be perfectly fine with not talking to another person and minding their own business.

It seemed he was just as shy as her as he shifted his weight awkwardly, seeing as he seemed out if words after his response. She fumbled with her words as she tried to create a conversation. "O-okay, I uh..." She once again trailed off before she took a deep breath and actually said a complete sentence without pausing or stuttering. "My name is Taylor." Greetings were always a good way to keep a conversation going right? She truly didn't know for sure. Conversations weren't her strong point since she tended to he invisible around people. Taylor was twisting the ends of her dress in her fingers out of a nervous habit. It helped calm her down and usually she didn't know she was doing it unless someone pointed it out. "So you draw?" She finally came up with a question to ask him, though she never met his gaze, more so avoided looking him in the face because she didn't want to seem rude.

----------The boy digested the girl's words before speaking again. His attention slid to her restless fingers and he fought himself to look up. He was good at getting distracted in the most inconvenient times. Stephen suddenly realized that she had mentioned her name and his quickly replied back. "Hi, I'm Stephen," he laughed timidly again. He had a knack for doing that when he got really nervous for some odd reason. "Oh, yeah, I do draw. It helps me take my mind off of things, I guess. Do you have a hobby?" Stephen forced himself to slow down his reply and breath a little. It still came out a little hasty, but better than the first approach that gave Taylor a miniature heart attack.

It was pretty nice for her to be able to keep the conversation going, a first for her. Taylor listened to his responses. His name was Stephen, so now she would be able to place a name and face together so he wouldn't be a total stranger to her all the time if she would see him around again, which she didn't doubt. When he asked her her hobby, she thought for a moment. "I. Um." She had to think about it for a moment. "I play a guitar and occasionally go mountain biking if that counts as hobbies." She told him in response as she continued to fiddle with her dress. Her blue green gaze finally looked up to his face and met his eyes, a soft smile across his features. He wasn't bad in looks, which usually made her more nervous around guys.

----------"That's pretty cool," Stephen commented. "I go biking, also. But, uh, kind of as an alternative to not having a car, haha." His attention still flickered from slightly over Taylor's head, her fidgeting hand, and her eyes. He finally became aware of his weird habit of shifting his weight from one side to the other and slowly stopped doing that. "Guitars are neat, too; my cousin tried to teach me a few things on an acoustic guitar once." He smiled at the memory of completely sending his cousin into a mental collapse because Stephen found it easier to hold the guitar left handed than right handed. His cousin wasn't the brightest crayon in the box and was a few years younger than Stephen, so the idea of reversing his instructions was one that must have been impossible at the time.
