I nod as Adam says Riki is hot I screw up my faces and shake my head. "Nah, of course not," I say with a jokey voice. Riki was quite a little treasure and I would think that Adam would be lucky to get her. Somehow I just knew they would be a good couple. Riki makes me jump as she appears behind me, starfish at hand. I stare at it curiously. That was a big starfish. I shrug as she puts it back and nod. "I would love to come," I say with great enthusiasm in the voice. I turn to the sea and watch as the waves crash against the shore. "We'd better go before the waves die down though," I say and sit on my surfboard, not that it really held my weight, not that I was fat but... Yeah.

I sigh and shake my head, there was no way he would make me move. It was embarrassing enough not having the courage to talk to him, even go into the ocean with him. I had always been afraid of it, you might say it was on of my most powerful weaknesses, considering I lived in a beach area. I look down at the sand and watch a little blue crab crawl across a piece of seaweed with some difficulty. I pick up the crab the way my mother had shown me and placed it down on the other side of the seaweed. I watch as it crawls away like nothing happened. I enjoyed watching the little creatures of many kinds crawl, run or hop across the sand, but the ones in the ocean were better. Dolphins, whales, sharks were my problem. That was the reason I wouldn't go in the water, well one of the reasons. I wrap my arms around me knees and sigh once more.

I nod. "It would be an honor," I say with a smirk before bowing down to Parker jokingly. I stand up straight again. "So, you up for a little challenge?" I raise my eyebrows at him. I kick a small rock off the larger rock we were still stood on before quickly looking over to the sea, the waves were beginning to get bigger which was good because it would make things easier if Parker did want to try surfing, although if he didn't they'd still be fun to swim in if he wanted to. But if he didn't I guessed that just going into town or something would also be enjoyable.

Grant is quiet most of the time. He isn't shy, and he will speak up for himself or others. He has been in a lot of fights because of his past and childhood, and he'd prefer not telling anyone about anything involving him and his past.

Grant was the loner in his neighborhood. The whole neighborhood could hear his mother yelling at him, and see him get punished. The kids around his neighborhood and in his school constantly bullied and picked on him. His father left him at birth after his parents had a fight, and his mom was horrible to him. She always blames Grant for what happened to her, and throws a lot of stuff at him. One day, Grant finally took enough of his mother to get up and leave. He earned enough to get a small apartment, but still gets bullied. But this time he doesn't just sit and let them, which is why he is in the office a lot and has a lot of bruises and black eyes.

Adam nods. "Sure!" He say with a smile, taking my surfboard from the sand. Adam was eager to larn how to surf and knew Riki would be an excellent teacher and he had yet to see James surfing.

I looked over at Riki. I hate that girl. She obviously likes Adam and he likes her back. I surfed toward shore and walked onto the beach, I laid out my towel and laid down putting my headphones in. I love P!ATD. I picked up my book and started reading. I came here to make friend. That worked out well. I thought sarcastically.

"Thanks. I'm glad I carved that one instead of wiping out" she said smiling, even though she had never wiped out in her life. Well, maybe not ever, but it had definitely been a while.

I smile and nod as the boys say yes. "Okay then!" I say picking up my blue surf board I run out to see huge waves. For some reason I feel very energetic. "Okay so, you paddle as always then when a wave catches you. You stand up and lean, not too far otherwise you will fall of. Then when you get the hang of that I'll teach you how to do tricks. Maybe James will teach you tricks as well." I look at the shore seeing my dog Roxy. I smile and wait for Adam to try what I just said. I wasn't always good at instructions, but I tried.

[rainy day]

Adam nodded, following her instructions carefully. He paddled out, seeing a wave coming towards him. He stood up on the board and leaned slightly, not too much or he would fall over as Riki had said before. He was surprised. He didn't always get things on the first try. "This is actually pretty easy." He said, looking over at Riki with a smile.

I smile to see Adam surfing. "Well done!! Now lets try a tick." I smile. I never felt this way about someone before, I really liked Adam but I didn't know how to say it. I smile to think of an easy trick. "360! That's an easy one. All you do is try to turn." I stopped to think I only just learnt this trick. "Okay I'm going to show you a different one. You turn your board so your facing me and lean ford. You will move this way." I get distracted and fall of my board.

I laugh as Riki falls off her board. "Ohh! Let me show you how it's done!" I say with a big grin before climbing onto my white and red surfboard. I paddle out until a big wave comes before standing up, I lean my weight forward and my board carries me on the wave. First I do a 360 then I crouch down and grab the front of my board before flying backwards up the wave, into the air then back onto the wave. I'd learnt that trick myself and was still deciding a name for it. I sit down on the board as it's still moving and when the wave goes down I look to Riki who was still off her board, then I look to Adam who I half expected to help Riki.

[rainy day]

Adam accidentally on purpose fell off his board too and went to help Riki. "You okay?" He asked her gently, then looking up to see James do a fantastic trick while they were both in the water.
