"I wouldn't consider us friends... I was just walking when she came up and talked to me." Berry says, barely above a whisper as he twirls his hair in his fingers. He hardly seemed nervous, looking out the window.

Leo

Even if Zoë didn't hear what they said, Leo did and it didn't make him happy. "Oy, Adam and whatever your name is!" He snapped. "Want to say that to her face?"

[Carstairs.]

Adam swallowed and looked sideways at Berry for help: Leo's expression was quite meaning as he demanded an answer regarding his sister.
"Maybe we should," he began. "Zoë seems to say whatever she likes to people's faces... Maybe she should know what it feels like." He added with a little venom in his voice. He was beginning to gain some confidence.

Jessie looked up from her work to see that Berry had moved and she couldn't copy the answers anymore. With a huff she slammed down her pen.
Then she heard that boy—Adam, who hadn't seemed so bad so far—talking to Leo. Not just talking, but speaking in quite an argumentative tone. Leo's vicious glare proved her right; this was going to be juicy. She listened closer...

Zoë

Zoë stared at them in shock and just as she was about to speak, Leo slammed his fist on the table. He was about to yell something at the pair before the bell sounded loudly, indicating the end of class.

[Zaphod Riker]

Berry looks at Leo. "The stereotypical overprotective brother... Figures. You completely look the type." He says, reaching his hand into his pocket and quickly messaging Eos. It was gibberish, but he hoped Eos would understand. "Moving on, Adam is right. She does tend to just speak without thinking." He says, looking towards the door with boredom. He doesn't get up, instead, waiting for Adam.

[Carstairs.]

Adam struggled to keep a straight face at Zoe's shocked expression. She seemed to be too shocked to speak; after all, her brother was doing all the speaking.
The bell rang. Dozens of students dashed out the classroom, all a blur, but Adam could still see Leo and Zoë standing firmly, their glares fixed on him and Berry.
He decided to leave before the Hart siblings fired their next insult, he stuffed the equipment into his messenger bag and swung it onto his shoulder.
"Free period," he said to Berry. "You coming? Anywhere's better than here..."

Jessie jumped at the shrill of the bell; her spy mode was shattered by the rush of students. She looked at Leo and Zoë; they didn't look impressed. They stared at Adam and Berry with, what Jessie recognised, resentment in their eyes.
Gathering her items and perching her handbag on her arm, she moved toward Leo and Zoë, but ever so slightly. She knew well enough from years of social superiority that even this was not a moment she should interrupt on.

[Zaphod Riker]

"Sure. We need to find my friend, though... I was hoping to go and visit somewhere." Berry says, smiling slightly at the thought of him and Eos having somebody new to hang out with. "Eos is pretty quiet, but I think he'll get used to you." He says.

Leo

Leo gave Zoë a weak smile and a half hug before storming out, glancing at Jessie ever so briefly. He didn't want to make a scene or let his temper get the better of him.

Zoë

Zoë smiled briefly at Leo before he stormed out and turned to Jessie. "Can you, like, even believe them!?" She grumbled. "That Berry is such a ...."

Becca strolled out of the library, clinging tightly to her books and trying to find her next class. Drama. Yay. Not.

Adam waited for Berry to catch up with him before leaving the physics classroom. "So, I'll go wherever you're going to meet your friend. I could do with some new ones,to be perfectly honest..." He hung his head and laughed despite himself.

Jessie was affronted that Leo walked straight past her. However, it was short lived—Zoë was speaking to her. Jessie smiled broadly, finding the whole situation quite amusing.
"Such a blockhead." She muttered. "And there I was thinking he was quite good looking. I honestly thought you two were... I don't know, together or something, what with you two sitting together first thing." She slapped a hand over her mouth, concealing a devious smile. "Sorry, I am rambling, but... I just totally think that you and I are going to friends?" It wasn't really a question; Jessie snatched someone's pen from the table and scrawled some numbers on a scrap piece of paper, "My number." She held it out to Zoë expectantly.
