I held tightly an dearly to him. I finally felt safe with him now I don't know what to do with out him anymore. if I leave him i won;t be safe anymore. It's a must now, If I don't then my life is endanger and I have not a single reason to return home. I'll be happy with him. Luke nodded as he listened quietly to each of Casper's words. He sighed before he looked away and drew in the dirt with the stick. "we'll, at least you don't have to hide them around me,"he smiled softly. "I think they are pretty cool to be honest with you,"he grinned and brushed some of his bangs out of his eyes. "I don't like sheep as in the animal and how people,"he chuckled lightly to kind of lighten the mood. He was like that he was always trying to make others smile or laugh. "But...I that's my opinion. I will take time to get to know someone who was a sheep and then I will judge afterwards if I like them or not,"he said not knowing if he made sense or not but shrugged it off. "So....anyways....are you new around here?"he asked Casper as he looked back at him but still continued to draw in the dirt.

I nodded "I used to find that incredibly hard...it's just second nature to me now", I haul the guitar from his lap and into mine and I start playing a cover I had made a little while back. I stop around 30 seconds into the song so that Jasper isn't just sitting there and being forced to hear me play. I flashed him a quick smile and I stood up to mount the guitar back on the wall, as I do so I hear a soft plodding of paws making their way up the stairs. I go over to the door and gingerly push it open only to find a very sorry looking pup make his way inside. Knowing where his intended destination would be, I lifted him off the ground and carried him to his spot on my bed, where he contently curled up. I lean the tops of my thighs on my bed, still standing, my mind in a race with that little voice in my head. Of course, saying anything right now would be ludicrous...right? It will scare him away, then I wouldn't even have him as a friend. Do I ask him on something like a...I don't know, like a 'bro date'? Oh gosh just saying that in my mind makes me cringe. There's my answer. If there was to be any date asking around here it would be of the regular kind, I silently told myself. I let out a discreet sigh and I dare to look over at him. My pulse quickened and my palms started to get clammy. I snap my eyes straight in front of me, but I had already doomed myself. Oh jeez it's been silent for a good minute or so, Jack, you're being weird and you have to stop...just, say something. Something normal that would spark a normal conversation that would lead into normal interaction. "What's your favorite colour..?" I ask with an upwards inclination to the end of the question. It came out sounding like more of a question of what to say to him to myself. Smooth. Totally and utterly smooth. I mentally face palmed myself and slowly hopped onto the bed, moving into the middle of it, slightly behind Jasper.

I smile and giggle a bit. " favorite color? I have more than one. I like blue and purple." I say, shrugging. " i know its fairly ordinary but when you mix them together it just looks right. And its not just the normal blues and purple, i like all of the colors on the blue and purple spectrums, too." I could tell he was trying not to make things awkward, only because i recognized myself doing them when its on my playing field. Brains tend to go into overdrive when someone you like is at your house or in your yard. But when your on their playing field, you try not to make them awkward. Clearly i was failing that. " what about you? Got any favorite colors you like?"

"So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten Sons are like birds flying upwards over the mountain."

I smile " thanks." I say and nod " trust people as far as you can throw them, right? I do that too but i try to keep an open mind. I don't have to like them to walk away from someone who's picked on me to think 'well maybe they have it bad at home.' Or 'that was the way they were taught, they haven't woken up yet.'
And granted those in no way justify the way they were acting or treating me, but it helps me keep an open mind and really see everyone as socially challenged due to the pure fact that their story has a few mistakes that need to be spell checked." I say shrugging " and until i can actually get to know someone i keep thinking that. Helps me smile when i would rather hide in a empty room for the rest of the day."

I was relieved that he replied in the way he did. It wasn't just a one or two word answer that would have made me hunt or more questions in my already frazzled brain. I lightly blush at his giggle and reply "Well if i had to choose one it would be green. And like you, I like all shades of green. In all honesty it's a typical colour for me to like if you think about it." I smirk to myself. "I like blue too...even though I prefer azure or cyan blue, I like the whole blue spectrum too" my eyes skim over to my azure blue walls. I should have probably painted one green. Or would that be too garish? Okay, I'm sitting here with my crush and I'm thinking about decorating. I let out, what would seem to Jasper, a random chuckle and turned back to him. "I'm also a sucker for orange" I roll my eyes slightly "I guess I'm just colour greedy". Feeling a little more at ease, I let my eyes lazily wander round my familiar surrounding, coming to rest on my calendar that was pinned up on the wall next to my window. My heart dropped a little as I noticed a little circle around a date, the only date marked this month. My dad's birthday. I was used to feeling this ache by now, so I could easily hide it. Though this year I wanted to do something to mark it, do more than feel sad for the day. An Idea popped into my head and I quietly smiled. "Hey..you're good at drawing right?" I ask him, still smiling.

I smile and clap my hands a bit " yes!" I say and shrug " color greedy is alright. Heck, if i had a choice the entire rainbow would be my favorite color. " i say and nod " cyan blue is really pretty." I comment " for greens im a fan of emerald green. Its such a pretty color. The only green im not a fan of ia moss green, only because i see it everytime i look in a mirror." I shrug and blink at his question. I take out my notebook and open to my drawing section and handing it to him to look at "well that depends on your idea of 'good drawing'. I'm better at drawing designs like rune and swirls and things rathe than people. Animals arent good at all either."

I looked down at his note book and at his creations. I was right..he was brilliant. "Scratch you being good, you are amazing" I say in slight awe, I trace my finger over the intricate patterns he had woven with his pencil. "Can I ask a favor..?" I finally blurt "only if that's alright that is". I flick the pages of the drawing section, each one containing a different masterpiece. The sun was finally rising in the sky, the light streamed through my window, and in turn onto the bed, glorifying his work further. But the ray of sun was short lived, the grey clouds were still steadily closing in. I was tempted to open the window just to fill my room with the smell of rain to come...but nah. I'm comfy right here.

I blush faintly as he compliments my drawings. " you really think so?" I ask as i watch him. He seemed to really like them which made me happy. Unlike most people, who recognized what i had been trying to draw from the internet, he didn't find the areas where i couldn't get the rounding correctly or i went a little too far with the proportioning. "Yeah, of course." I tell him " what is it?"
