I nod a bit and shrug " i hide them because I'm not a sheep. I even hide them from my parents. They know i got tattoos but they don't know what i got them of." I say " people freak at the slightest sign of someone being different. Even if i didn't have a different preference, if i was just a supporter of it i would be shunned. Having a tattoo with the words 'equality' and the symbol is like a flashing red target. Granted if i just had the ' only god can judge me' tattoo people would just assume i was religious or something. But i don't and the two added together is like a nuclear red bomb. " i explain. " so i hide them. Granted i don't regret getting them, because i find myself smiling a little when i look down at my left wrist or catch a glimpse of the words, just because i know they are there and what they mean. But i don't want others to ruin that smile and make me regret getting them." I shrugged. " actually there are some sheep who do get bullied, just in a quiet manner that we don't know about. I have nothing against sheep, i think they are all poor souls that just haven't woken up yet, but still. I do know that i wouldn't want to be them. "

{time skip to the next morning}
I wake up reasonably early for once. I glance over to Mal who was still fast asleep beside me before gently tossing the covers off my legs. I stand and kick around my floor, looking for something decent to wear. A few minutes later I was dressed and downstairs munching on my cereal whilst mulling over the plan for today in my head. I push my chair backwards and hop over to the sink, dumping my bowl and spoon in the washing up bowl then leaning down to fill Mal's bowl with his breakfast. My faithful companion was soon plodding down the stairs, lazily strolling over to receive his first meal of the day. Everything seemed so significantly calm and quiet...I stood there, leaning against the counter. Feeling content in the current moment for once. I stumble upright and trudge back upstairs to retrieve one if my acoustic guitars and a few picks. When I return to the kitchen I spot Jasper's book on the side. I gingerly pick it up, feeling ever so tempted to open it and read his words...but no. That would be a breach of his trust that I feel honoured to have in the first place. I grab one of my backpacks and gently place it inside before slinging the bag onto my shoulders. By now, Mal had finished his breakfast and was patiently waiting by the door, his tail wagging every so slightly. I pick up my guitar by the strap and sling it across my chest, stuffing a few picks into my pocket with my other hand. I walk to Mal, attach his collar and leash then head over to the park.

I woke up early before anyone else in my house had, basically leaving my mom, my dad, and my visiting cousin, to sleep while i quietly shoved on some jeans, a v-necked tank, and my ever so present hoodie before i made my way downstairs to the kitchen. i made myself some microwaveable waffles with frosting, and looked down to see my cat Jemini rubbing against my leg, trying to get my attention. i smiled and put a hand down to him, scratching his ears. " food will come in a second, just wait." i tell him, grabbing my plate from the microwave and setting it down on the table. i went into the laundry room and poured some cat food into Jemini's bowl before heading back out and eating the frosting covered waffles. i then stuffed my feet into some shoes and headed out, leaving a note on the front door for mom to see when she woke up. it felt odd walking without a notebook under hand but i didn't mind. i headed for the park and went to the tree i had sat under yesterday, jumping up and grabbing the branch before climbing up onto it.

I cross the road and reach the park's luscious grass. I let Mal off the lead and he sprints ahead, after a few seconds I lost sight of him completely. But I knew where he was headed...to our usual spot in the park. I begin to walk swiftly over to our meeting spot, knowing that Mal would pretty much be there already and probably slobbering all over Jasper. I take care as I enter the wooded area, I didn't want to end up with any scratches on my guitar. I can feel the morning sun gently beating down on my shoulders, the light becoming more and more dappled as I move further into the trees. The ground was still a little damp from yesterday's downpour...I replayed Jasper and I climbing the tree and smiled to myself. Could today top yesterday? Still quietly smiling I turn the corner and look for him. But there was no one sitting on the tree root. Mal was off in the bushes - probably chasing after yet another squirrel or a bird...well if it keeps him quiet what harm could it do? I leave him to it and continue walking towards the tree. As I get closer I spot a pair of legs dangling from a branch, I continue walking and I see Jasper happily perched in the tree...I must have made some sort of impression then. "Good morning" I call up to him, gently placing my guitar on the ground and taking off my bag. "You left this at mine yesterday -" I get out his book and reach my arm up to him with the book in my hand "but I haven't read anything, I haven't even opened it".

I smiled down at him " morning." i greet and take the notebook from hi carefully " thanks. knew i must have left it." i say and stuck it between two close branches so it balanced between them. " thanks for not, but i wouldn't have minded if you had." i say shrugging " i had told you i was going to let you read them sometime." i say and ooh at the guitar " that's a nice guitar."

I hop up onto the branch and sit next to you "Thank you...how are you today?". I notice my proximity to him and shift over a little, giving him more room. A breeze rushes through the tree and I shiver. It was deceivingly chilly in the mornings and I instantly regretted not wearing a sweater of some sort. Goosebumps start to raise on my arms and I glance down at them, frowning a touch and rub them in an effort to make them go down.

I shrug " i'm alright. " i say and look over at him. i smile slightly before pulling off my hoodie and handing it to him. " don't worry, i don't get cold that easily." i tell him. " plus i like the cold."

I gladly accept the hoodie and slowly pull it over myself. Another sudden breeze flies through the trees..but this time all it did was make his scent from his hoodie dance around me. I bury my face in the hood a little and try to suppress a small smile. "Thank you...I don't usually get cold like this though." I say as I snuggle myself up a little in an attempt to retain the heat already trapped in the soft material. My gaze meet's his and this time I don't shy away from it. I look into his eyes..and I feel myself melt slightly. I couldn't decide what colour they were, but I wasn't about to ask.

I smile and shrug " thats true. Its colder than it usually is. I think its from the rain last night, its still on the grass and things so the wind is picking it up and blowing it around. That and its early morning so the sun hasnt fully woken up yet. Its still trying to wipe sleep from its eyes and warm itself up before it warms the rest of us." I tell him. I couldnt help but smile as i watch him try to get warm in the jacket. It was a weird happy feeling, like i did something good. Like saving someone from freezing to death or something. It was petty and lame but i didnt care. " was anyone awake when you got up?" I ask curiously.

He's rather sullen, moody, and not very social. Despite all this he's actually pretty popular in school, most likely because he hangs out with a lot of the jocks. Though he's pretty ruff around the edges he can warm up to people. He's very sweet and caring when it comes to little sister and his mom. With his really good friends he's still sort of reserved but can be pretty funny and not bad to hang out around. Anthony's not rude, just closed off.

{History}
Anthony was one of the most energetic, happy, little boys you'd ever seen when he was younger. That changed when he was about eleven years old. Anthony realized he had a big crush on his best friend in middle school, but since all the other boys liked girls he decided to keep quiet. Since then it's become clear that very few people in his social circles are very tolerant of gays so he keeps quiet. This is a big part of why he's so closed off, as he would hate for someone to realize he was gay.
