I was starting to feel better ; Jason was starting to act like his normal self again. I stand up and blush a bit, taking my hands back. "What do you mean?" I ask, looking at him with a confused expression. I didn't really get it.. was I supposed to swoon or something? Haha, no. I was not that type of girl. I shrugged and mentally thought, what's going on jason? i raised my right eyebrow and stared at him expectantly.

I sigh and slouch over. It's a new life, new world, new friends, not that I had any before, "I just wanted to forget about all of that... stuff. It's the reason I attempt to make friends. I purposefully placed it right at the back of my mind so I could forget about it- Otherwise I'd be completely depressed forever, and I'd probably end up killing myself of how stupid and useless I am to the world!" I said crying a bit again. I put my head in my hands and turn away from Violet so she can't see my face. My legs feel like jelly and I'm sure I'll collapse at any time soon.

"Jason..?" I ask softly, pulling him back up to his feet, then moving his hands away from his face. I gently pulled Jason around so i could see him. "Well, putting at the back of your mind was a good idea." i told Jason softly, putting my arm to my side. "And killing yourself isn't exactly an ideal compromise." I didn't know what else to tell Jason at this point. I was confused and worried; but how could I make Jason see that he was important? I sighed and looked at the sand before turning my eyes back to Jason. He was being a bit dramatic, but I didn't want to tell him that. "Jason.. you remind me of Ryder. Always doubting yourself, when you're capable of something great. those wood carvings? those take talent." I stop for a moment, knowing i was being overly cheesy, but if it got the message through, then huzzah. "If you choose to think that you're worthless, then that's your choice. But know that to me, you're not worthless at all." I put my hand on his shoulder and gently kissed his forehead before walking away.

I sat there thinking. Well. That's kinda it. Nothing really special. I followed Violet with my eyes. I smiled deviously and I jumped up and ran over to her. I playfully punched her- not able to stop smiling. I ran back over to the tree and grabbed my sketchbook and carvings. I stop and feel my pockets. My eyes widen in fear as I search for my phone. I circle the tree many times before I give up. Then it comes back to me- Violet has it. I run back over to Violet noticing my $50 note sticking out of one of her back pockets. I put my hand on her shoulder and ask in a overly British accent "Excuse me madam, but may I receive my phone?" I rasied my eye brow and stood in her way- still smiling..

"Ow!" I felt my arm being punched, and I turned around and was about to smack the person who had punched me. I turned around and was surprised to see who was there. "What the he** was that for Jason?" I asked annoyed, rubbing my arm. "That hurt!" I pouted, as a joke, but broke into a grin. "Just kdding, but it actually did hurt. Sheesh." I listen to his question, then I furrowed my brows in confusion. "What are you-" I feel my back pocket and pull out $50 and a note. I open it, my eyes wide. "Ok one: what's this for? and two :: I don't have no one's phone."

"Oh boy..." I muttered under my breath. "Do you think it may have fallen out when you were at the beach?' i asked, nodding my head in that direction. I studied the area we were at, then the tree that Jason's stuff had been under. I didn't see it, then again we were a few good yards away. "thanks Jason. You didn't have to." I added, taking the money and putting it in my wallet. "Ok, back to the great case of: where is Jason's phone?' " I looked around in the sand, but saw nothing.

I couldn't help smile at Violet's remark. "Your welcome" I say as I look around for my phone. Quickly I run to the sea to see if it was there. Nope. Suddenly I had an idea- maybe I left it in my room! I checked the tree Violet was at and it wasn't there. "Any luck?" I call out to Violet while climbing the tree to get a better vantage point. It took me a while to get up, but I fianlly climbed to the top and I searched from above. I heard a thump and I look down and there is my phone. Hmm, so very convenient I think to myself as I get down from the tree and grab my phone and place it into my pocket.

"well, no. but it looks like you found it." i jogged over to Jason and looked at him curiously. "Good job." i say, giving him a friendly, yet awkward, pat on the back. I looked from the tree to him for a moment, registering how high the tree was. "Wow. That is a scary high tree." i stated, half in awe and half just being a statement. I blink a few times before shifting my gaze back to Jason. "What type of phone is it?" I ask curiously, trying to make conversation with him.
