i gave a relieved sigh when he popped up. "you ok?" i asked, going to full height. i hoped he was ok, but i never could be too careful with him. i glanced between him and the girl for a moment, feeling both happy and angry at the same time. i had to let ryder have his own friends... but again, as long as the girl didn't make a move, i was fine.

I had to hold in laughter from the last part. I glanced at Lily, to see if it was the same with her. I could kinda feel tension rising, so to rescue it i said, "that sounds like fun Lily." i just sorta had to end the awkwardness...
