Alex sighed and followed him.

He bolted to the fence and leapt it again. He waited for Alex before leading him to Alex. He whimpered and nudged her.

She shook her head. "No Diego...." She snapped softly.

He continued to watch Ashley warily. He wanted to make sure she was not having a nightmare.

Alex frowned lightly, "Don't snap at the dog."

Ashley's eyes fluttered open.

She shrugged, not looking up at Alex. "He knows I do not like being nudged."

He smiled a little when he saw Ashley open her eyes. "Morning sleeping beauty...." he whispered.

Alex sighed and nodded.

She sighed and said to Diego, "Go fetch me some more wax please boy...."

He barked and bolted into the house. He came back with more surfboard wax.

He smiled down at her, sitting up.

Ashley stretched and smiled. Then sat up herself.

Alex hugged Alex lightly.

He sighed with a small smile. "I plan to go surfing today.... First time in about 9 or 10 years!"

She smiled a little and took the wax from Diego. She waxed her board some more.

Alex chuckled and stepped back, watching her.
