I felt something being wrapped around my waist, but I was almost numb. I could see a blurred vision of the boy that had helped me get away before. I tried to say something, but my lips wouldn't move, so I simply waited.

Jake

I left the cellar and went back outside. It had been a day since he had been shot. He made sure the gun was in his jacket, just in case, and went to look for food. He found an old grocery store and went inside. There was a little bit of food left, some here a little there, but it was enough for maybe the next two weeks. He gathered it all in a sack he found laying on the ground and carried it back.
