I grinned. "You could have hit me in the head," I ended the sentence with a cute giggle.

Jake

I watched her, then walked toward the wall of foilage of the willow tree protecting us from the water. I parted it and walked out, welcoming the cool water to my bare skin. I looked up at the sky, the rain patting my face, and closed my eyes.

Sorry for the late reply... I'm reading the Hunger Games and I got addicted for hours.

I dodged the tree, and appeared at the side she wouldn't expect. I raced further, legs pumping. My heart pounded in my ears, but I didn't lose my breath. I beat her to the willow tree, and pushed past the curtain of leaves.

Ashley.
Ashley chuckled dryly, knowing he had taken a different way. She sprinted on ahead and took a different pathm, sneaking up behind Jake. She cupped her hands over his eyes, grinning. "Guess who it is."

I grinned. "The easter bunny."

Ashley.
"I can't believe you got it right." She hopped like a bunny in circles, laughing.

He shook his head. "Never. And you can't get hurt remember?"

I laughed. "I almost forgot." I leaned up and kissed him, still smiling.

Jake

I laughed. "You are a doofus."

He shook his head and kissed her back. "Don't forget! Silly."

I smiled and took a sip of the chili. The warmth spread through me and the goosebumps disappeared. I sighed with relief and finished the chili.
