Hallie smiled, leaning back on her hands as a few cars sped past.

"That's a really pretty name," she commented, not looking at the girl. Garret sat down on the other side of Hallie, smiling kindly at Shyly.

"So what brings you here to this part of the world? Summer break? Family? Anything exciting?"

Garret's voice rang in the dim silence, and Hallie chuckled slightly.

"Our parents sent us here because they thought it would break us from our worlds of fantasy... I used to be a mermaid at a local park in Scottland, and I still bring my tail whenever we go to the beach or lake... And that one there" - Hallie motioned to Garret - is the best archer in our SCA chapter. He's nearly to the rank of Master Archer..."

Garret touched Hallie's shoulder, as if to silence her, and he smiled at Shyly once more. "She has a tendency to ramble quite a bit... I apologize for her..."

I laughed softly, looking at both of them. "No need to apologize... no one talks to me, so its ok." I said, taking off my beanie for a quick second to run a hand through my hair.
