Summer in Paris {CLOSED DUE TO INACTIVITY!}

Gavin grinned in both pictures, as he pressed the shutter in the same moment. When the local shot her a look, he broke down into a fit of uncontrollable laughter, hunching over and laughing so hard that he felt tears pricking his eyes. "Wow," He got out in between laughs as he wiped at his eyes. "You sure do know how to charm the locals!" He straightened up and tried to force a serious face on as he looked at her, attempting a grave voice; although its effect was slightly ruined by the chuckles that broke through. "If you don't tame that wild personality, you'll get us run out of the city by an angry mob." As soon as he'd finished speaking, he snickered. They were doing a great job of blending in with the crowd. "Ah well," He declared, "It's better to go against the flock if the flock can't handle some fun!"

Katie pulled the most serious face she possibly could, but it didn't seem very serious because the corners of her mouth were twitching as she tried to keep from smiling and laughing. "I know. And let them run after me in an angry mob, I can handle 'em. I am an Aussie, after all," she said in a hardly serious tone, letting out small giggles as she spoke. As hard as she tried, she just couldn't speak seriously. The brunette finally broke out into a fit of laughter again, her legs wobbling from how much she was laughing. "I don't care. If they have a problem with a little fun, then screw them!" she declared. Finally, she managed to suppress her laughter so she was giggling instead. Looking at her picture, she was stunned by how happy and carefree she looked, to say the least. "Wow... I took one damn good picture, didn't I?"

Justin took out his key again and unlocked his door, before opening it and holding it open for Skylar. Glancing inside, he noted that it already seemed as if his roommate had arrived and unpacked.

Skylar walked inside the room. She looked around and said "It looks exactly like mine. I mean, I guess it should..."

Gavin collapsed into laughter again, scrunching up his nose and snorting a little. Once he'd calmed down enough to keep a straight face, he looked at the picture and nodded thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose it probably helped that you had someone as wonderfully photogenic as me in it." He teased, nudging her lightly. "Nah, it's a great picture!" He took a look at his own. It wasn't as good as Katie's,but they both looked like they hadn't a care in the world and he thought it made a great start to the photo album he was definitely going to make at some point. "Look at us! You'd never even guess that the locals are already sick of us!" They were the focal point of the photo, but Gavin noticed that the Seine looked almost as good as they did. It was as if the sun had shifted to hit it just right for the sake of their photos. Honestly, it looked like something off of a postcard.

Katie giggled more and saw one of the locals stare at her with a scowl. The local shook their head in disgust and walked away, and as soon as their back was facing Katie, she flipped them the bird and snickered. "Yeah, you're right. And anyways, it probably also helps that the camera loves this beautiful face," she said, pulling the most idiotic, ridiculous face she possibly could. The brunette got nosy and looked at his picture at well, grinning at how perfect it looked. "Dude, I'm going to cherish my pictures of this trip forever, as cheesy as that sounds. This is probably going to be the best summer I've ever had," she said, looking up at Gavin with a grin plastered on her face. "Well, better send it to my dad!" The Australian looked at her phone and quickly sent her dad the picture.

"Huh... looks like my roommate already made themselves at home," Justin said with a slight shrug, walking inside and putting down his luggage. "Oh, it does? Well, I would have thought the rooms would be different... oh well! Better unpack now, I guess..."

Gavin chuckled at her face, and pulled one right back. "These locals are a bunch of boring buggers, aren't they?" He grinned, pulling up his contacts to send his picture to his mum. "That was hugely cheesy, but pretty much same. This is going to be the best summer if my life, I can feel it!" He smiled contentedly, hitting send and humming lightly. "We should head, I mean we're only at the Seine and there's so much we haven't seen." Gavin wasn't sure one summer would be enough to satisfy his need to see everything and take in ever detail. Maybe he could convince his mum to go next year; heck, he was even considering just staying foe good. One lifetime probably wouldn't be enough for the admiration and curiosity to wear off.

Katie giggled at how idiotic Gavin looked when he pulled a similar face to the one she made and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I already flipped one the bird," she said, snickering quietly like it was the most devious thing she's ever done. "Me too! Gosh dang, I'm not sure that when the time comes I'll be able to force myself to leave... You might have to drag me back onto the plane." The brunette sighed contently, and felt her phone vibrate. Her dad had already responded. Opening up her messages, she burst out laughing. "Oh my god, dad! I can't even--!!" she exclaimed, laughing harder. There, on the screen of her phone, was her dad's reply to the picture:
You look amazing and just... so happy. Wish I was there with ya... But seriously, if he tries anything, I'M GOING TO COME AND DO UNSPEAKABLE CRIMES! Love you sweetie~

"Oh please, if anyone's going to need dragged onto that plane, it's going to me." The boy snorted, unlocking his phone when he heard his mum's reply come through. 'You two look like you're having fun! Who is she? Where's she from? Are you having a good time?? I love you, baby! <3' As cringeworthy as he thought her reply was, Gavin couldn't help but be relieved when he saw that it wasn't nearly as bad as Katie's dad's reply. "You should probably assure him again that I value my life too much to try anything." The brunet smirked and raised an eyebrow. He found the situation pretty funny, but at the same time he found himself trusting her dad's threat entirely. Dad's could be pretty protective. "I promise; scout's honour." He let himself grin again as he brought up his hand in a three fingered salute.

Skylar nods and says, "Do you want me to stay and help, or leave you to it?" She put her cowboy boot toe down on the floor.

"Are you sure about that? What if I never want to leave, and I just want to stay here instead? Huh?" Katie asked, grinning and elbowing Gavin slightly. Being the nosy girl she was, she looked at the response he got from his mother and started laughing. She remembered from when she was about nine or ten that every single time she was around a boy, her mother would act the same way. The thought made her sad, but she shook her head and pushed aside her feelings for the time being. "You should tell her something really weird in response," she said. Nodding, she quickly texted her dad back, trying to make the argument that Gavin was perfectly fine and he wouldn't have to do any unspeakable crimes to him.

"You can help, if you'd like to," Justin said with a slight grin, opening up his suitcase and starting to put away everything he had brought.
