Summer in Paris {CLOSED DUE TO INACTIVITY!}

"I'm doing the same for my mum, so don't worry." Gavin smiled, beginning the walk towards the Seine. "And good for you with your Australia." He looked over his shoulder at the girl as he spoke, teasing grin playing on his lips. "While you were hiking about down under with your pet kangaroo, I was probably knee deep in rain water in sunny, sunny London." Okay, that was way off. Most summers, it was actually pretty sunny and decent around where he lived, it was just the rest of the year that was utterly abysmal.

Skylar jumped. She opened her eyes and gulped, nodding in reply. She pushed herself up from the chair and walked over to him. She held her hand out and said, "hi, I'm Skylar."

"Okay. Maybe we can take some pictures together to send to our parents, hm? What do you say to that?" Katie said, grinning at Gavin as she followed him. "Yes, because I totally hike with a pet kangaroo. Them things can be nasty little buggers, anyways. And that is way off. I know that London is famous for their surplus of rain," she said. The brunette kept walking along, going quiet for a couple of minutes.

Justin grinned, a bit of a mischievous glint in his eyes like there always was. "Ah, alright. Well, nice to meet you, Skylar. My name's Justin. Lookin' forward to this summer?"

"You know what, that's a good idea." Gavin grinned, nodding along. His mum would go mental if she got sent pictures of him with a girl; she'd probably want to know everything about her, even things he didn't know like her shoe size. "Well, I don't know what mental things go on in the wild lands of Australia! Surplus of rain feels like an understatement, honestly." He let the silence grow for a moment, as it wasn't uncomfortable. It felt natural.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Justin." Skylar replied. She flicked her hair back, and over her shoulder, taking in his full appearance. Her brunet hair, his emerald green eyes, everything. She smiled warmly at him and nodded politely.

[katie;]

"Yes, it is! My dad's gonna go totally whacko when he sees that I'm with a guy," Katie said, laughing at the thought of her father reacting to her taking pictures with Gavin. "Hey, I once tried to catch a kangaroo a few years ago, so trust me - they can definitely be nasty little buggers. Seriously, and understatement? Huh..." she said, grinning. "Makes me want to go to London just to see how much rain there really is..."

Justin grinned and nodded. "Good. Now, I need to go check in and unpack, so... want to come?" he suggested, the mischievous glint in his eyes never once leaving as he spoke to her, along with the grin plastered on his face.

"Sure, why not I haven't got anything else to do. I can't unpack, my suitcase was stolen." Skylar replied. She nodded to the front desk and waited for him to lead the way.

"Right?" Gavin laughed, running a hand through his hair. "My mum would demand as much information out of me as she could. What, seriously? I always thought they'd be sweethearts! They're really cute, how can they be anything but sweet little animals?" He pulled a mock serious face at the mention of London's rainfall. "Yeah, the rain's pretty heavy most of the time, and when it's not, it's drizzle with a lot of wind so it feels the same. But you should go some day! If you can look past the bleak shade of grey everything is, it's a great place for tourists."

"Yeah, right," Katie said and laughed quietly. "I'm sure he's gonna flip crap... And yes, seriously! They can be so nasty! It freakin' almost kicked me in the face!" the brunette exclaimed. "Despite the rainfall and the dreary atmosphere, I'm sure I'd love to go to London. Maybe I can visit you sometime, eh?" she said, nudging him and laughing. Looking around, she smiled widely at the sight of how beautiful everything looked.

"Oh... That sucks. You know who stole it?" Justin asked as he walked over to the reception desk. He told the receptionist his name and why he was here, then got his room key from the receptionist seconds later.

"Oh, wow!" Gavin laughed, shaking his head. He paused slightly to look at the scenery, before nudging the girl back with a cheeky grin. "Yeah, you can, just give me about a year's warning so my mum can prepare some interrogation questions for you." He was in awe of the scenery; the old architecture combined with the slightly more modern and just the general prettiness of everything. London was pretty, but Paris was on par with heaven in his eyes.
