Gavin nodded, pressing the button inside the lift for the third floor. "So do I. I really want to know who I'll be rooming with, too." Honestly, that wasn't even his biggest priority at the moment. What he really wanted to do was get in and change into something lighter because he was roasting in what he was wearing at the moment and he didn't think it'd be a great start to the summer of he got heatstroke on the first day. "God, it's hot." He complained for what felt like the hundredth time. "I can't wait to get changed and maybe relax in the shade of my room for a bit because I am not prepared for this heat at all. You're lucky, Aussie, you're used to this."

"Yeah. I just hope that whoever my roommate is isn't stuck-up or anything like that. I hate it when people act that way," Katie said, scowling. She shook her head slightly and laughed quietly at Gavin's complaint. "Oh, you don't say?" she teased, elbowing him in his side. The brunette felt her phone vibrate, and knew that her dad had replied almost instantly. Typical. "Me too. I mean, I'm not looking forward to getting into my room to be in shade and get changed, I just want to call my father. He's probably worried sick because I haven't called him yet. Luckily, I texted him, so he doesn't have to be worried anymore."

Skylar quickly opened the door and stuck her purse inside She then closed the door, sliding the key into her skinny jean pockets. She leaned on the door, inhaling deeply. She then walked down to the lobby of the hotel and sat down on a small chair. She sunk down into it and placed one leg on top of the other. She looked around, her dark eyes filling with anxiety.

Gavin nodded, laughing softly. "So do I, but I have a talent for getting on peoples' nerves so if mine's stuck up, I'll probably annoy it out of them." It was true, Gavin had a knack for learning how to press people's buttons and using that to his advantage. Usually it gained him friends who just learned to ignore him when he did it, but it also helped show people that he wouldn't just sit back and be treated like dirt by snooty people. "You too, huh? Yeah, I should probably give my mum a call. I texted her there, too but she's probably a wreck without me there. I hardly leave the house, let alone the country. it's weird her not being there; we're really close."

Katie nodded, smiling a bit more. Although... was that a bit of sadness in her eyes? Yes. Yes it was. "Yeah. I never go anywhere without my dad. We're really, really close. Always have been and always will be. We grew a lot closer when I was ten, and now our bond is unbreakable," the brunette explained briefly, forcing the sad look in her eyes to go away. Soon, the lift stopped and they were at the third floor. Stepping out, she took out her key and examined it, finding her room number on it. "So... meet you when we're done?" she asked.

Gavin noticed the slight change in emotion, but decided it would be best not to push anything; he respected that she wouldn't want to tell him certain things, considering they'd only met a few hours ago. "Sounds like he really means a lot to you." He smiled gently, stepping out of the lift with his luggage in tow. "Yeah, I'll come get you if you want? I feel like I'll be ready first, I know how you girls are." He turned the situation into a lighthearted joke, lips twitching into a semi-smirk to convey that he was joking. He didn't want her to think that he'd been being serious. "So yeah, I'll come get you." He headed off towards his room with a slight nod and grin in her direction; slotting the key into the door easy and stepping inside. He stopped still in the doorway, taking a moment to really appreciate the interior. The walls were an off-white colour and the carpet was duck egg blue. There were two beds with white silk sheets, both with small glass bedside cabinets beside them, along with two closets and an en suite bathroom. There were large windows which opened as doors onto small balconies overlooking onto the Louvre.
