Luke stood when he heard a new voice, and he gently placed his book on the couch beside Marley. He followed the voice, spotting Cinder, Alex, and Dylan. He coughed, arms crossing. "Uhm. Who's this?" he murmured. "Is this the new girl Ms. Darla told us about? Her room is actually on the second floor." He explained shyly, not fond of the idea of being social.

"Thanks for the heads up, would've been a disaster getting settled into a room and then having to move." Dylan smiled at Luke and picked up Alex's luggage. "Let's get you to that room, come on Cinder." He then stopped and turned to Luke. "Any specific room?"

Luke nodded curtly, leading everyone back down two flights of stairs and onto the second floor. There were lots of rooms left on this floor; only one person was on here, which is why Alex was staying on this level. Ms. Darla, his aunt, (he wasn't proud of being kin with her, which is why nobody knows and Ms. Darla never speaks of it) always wants new people on the first and second floor. He lead Alex to Room 12. "Here."

Alex II 15 II Bisexual II 2nd floor

Alex nodded, and followed Cinder as she led her to what was first expected to be her new room. After walking up the tight stairway, Alex came to a stop as she noticed that Cinder seemed to have picked out an empty room for her. She peered out from behind Cinder, examining the room. "It's not that bad; My room at home was about that size." Alex said, smiling and shrugging at the girl. Alex jumped suddenly at the sound of a clearing throat. She turned around, and was met with what appeared to be another boy who she could assume lived here. "Oh, I'm Alex. Sorry for appearing out of nowhere." Alex replied, feeling as though she had slightly disrupted some residents day. She smiled kindly at the guy, as she noticed his shyness and wanted to start off on the right foot. "Right, we better get my things to the room before Dylan strains himself or someone trips over my bag." She joked as grabbed her backpack out of the hallway and headed up the stairs behind the trio. "Sorry Dylan, that suitcase probably weighs as much as my moms mastiff." She said as she watched Dylan decend the two flights with her suitcase that her crap and clothing was crammed into. She turned the corner with the three, and stopped in front of what she was now sure would be her new room. "Thank you three. Maybe I'll come over to your room Cinder and help you look for that sweater after I finish unpacking, if you haven't found it yet that is." Alex said to both Cinder and Dylan. Although Alex appeared to be somewhat comfortable, she was hiding a veil of uncertainty and slight fear. After all, she never wanted the word "orphanage" to be used when describing where she lived. She was trying to conceal the slight tremble of her body that was caused from the nerves of a completely different and new lifestyle. Her smile quivered just slightly before she shook off the fleeting look of uncertainty and instead begun pulling at her shirt sleeves. "Hey Luke, does.. erm, Ms. Darla was it? Does she know I'm here?"

I walk through the halls and after seeing they were mostly empty, I went downstairs to the main desk and glanced out of the window. I saw a girl that must have been new, looking kind of confused and I looked around before go outside. "Um, do you need help with anything...?"

Cinder nodded at Alex, a small smile on her face. "Okay, hopefully you have a nice day, I'll probably be back after I find my sweater." She said with a small laugh. She waved and started to walk towards her room. She kept a hand on her arm, in attempt to keep the scar hidden. She got to her room and opened the door, glancing over at Dylan, to see if he was coming.

Once everyone made their ways down to the third floor (there were only four floors with bedrooms, five including the main floor with the kitchen etc., and six including the dreaded attic, so Alex was technically only on the second floor of bedrooms. Confusing, yeah?) Luke opened up the bedroom door and blinked his green eyes at small empty room with only a bed, dresser, and chest for personal belongings. Same as everyone elses. "Im not sure, but I don't think anybody here wants to tell her. Just wait until tomorrow when she makes us all oatmeal or something for breakfast." He whispered, voice small compared to this large house. He fiddled with the hems of his sweater, and looked to the floor. There were three people looking at him. God, he was uncomfortable. Too much socializing in one night and he was sure felt like he was going to be sick any second now.

Rae looked up at the boy who had spoken to her. She sighed silently and then forced her smile and shrugged, "I was just kinda left here...so I am not sure what exactly to do or where to sleep and such" she explained to him and smiled softly.

Alex looked at Cinder as her smile contagiously spread over to her lips. "Okay, you have a nice day as well. I hope you find that sweater of yours." Alex waved back at the girl as she walked away, her eyes flitting over the place where Cinder was continuously holding her arm. She knew better then to ask her about it, but she was slightly curious nonetheless. Alex then turned herself back around to face Luke who was now opening the door to her room. She nodded in silent agreement to what he had told her about Ms. Darla. "I- is everyone's room this emtpy?" Alex looked down at the floor just ahead of her black, scuffed up converse, feeling a bit ashamed to be asking such a question. After all, she didn't want them to think she meant to call them poor or anything; she was genuinely curious.
