Cody followed he didn't lift his head from the ground. He lifted his head and ran after the group scared to get left alone. He caught up with Lily who was holding Caspar.

Lucas was carrying Rosie on his back who was fast asleep.

Alice got up from her sitting position, her hands covered in black ash and her face lightly covered with smoke ash. Sighing, she just wiped her dirty hands on her worn out coat and then pulled it up to her face to try and get it off. Alice then tucked in her messy hair behind her ear and looked around for a place to help, because Alex and the other older kids didn't need all the pressure. She then walked over to the small group, looking over her shoulder at the remaining place they all once called home. She held in her tears, she didn't want to be weak. Looking over at Alex as he spoke, she nodded and looked into the forest. The forest was like a home away from home for her, she loved the peace it brought when she went in there.

Bennet got up, he was hungry and tired. All he wanted some food, and then to sleep in his bed, but he understood that that was all gone, and so was Ms. Bess. He started to cry, but quickly got up and raced over to Alex, hugging his leg. her cried into his leg, but then found himself feeling safe with Alex nearby. Smiling to himself, Bennet looked up at Alex with his big brown eyes, and then ay Maybelle. He waved at Maybelle, but hoped that Alex wouldn't mind him tagging along beside him. His stomach rumbled, and he rub it so the pain would go away, but it didn't. He started to cry again, but cried into Alex's leg.

Lily looked around and had to look down as she saw a dead fox, She tried her hardest not to cry, She would be brave for the others.

Caspar woke up and opened his grayish green eyes. He sucked onto his thumb as he looked around. The 4 year old struggled to get out of Lily's arms, He finally got put down and he looked around.

Lucas had put Rosie onto his shoulders, Her laughing made him happy but he saw his other sister was a bit sad. Luca sput Rosie down and walked over to Lily. "Hey" He smiled softly.

Lily looked at Lucas, A few tears wear rolling down her cheeks and she pointed over near some trees were a dead family of foxes were. A mother and it's two cubs.

She nodded and kept silent, taking the granola bar and quickly stuffing it in her mouth.
"Can I ride on your back?" Maybelle butted in.
Her eyes were drooping and her legs had lots of bruises, but she had the motivation to stand still.
She returned Bennet's wave with a one of the half smiles, like the ones you did in your sleep, and grabbed onto Alex's shoulder.

Alex glanced at her "In a moment May."he murmured sitting her on the rock.sitting besides her he picked up Ben and sat him on his lap taking out the other half of the granola bar he held Ben rubbing his back as he handed him the food "Eat up Ben."he murmured as he glanced at May putting an arm around her he scooted her closer to him "Go ahead and take a nap May we have an hour before we need to leave."he murmured upswing the rag to clean off her face then doing the same to Ben

Maybelle hesitantly pulled away and scooted off the rock, pushing the rag away.
"I'm too old to take a nap, Alex," she huffed, "and I'm not tired anyways."
That was probably not the best thing to say, because she was in fact very sleepy and fought the urge to yawn.

Caspar looked around and stopped. He went back over to Lily and Lucas. He didn't like the forest that much but wanted to explore. He walked towards some trees and looked around.

Lily sighed she had been depressed since her pet fox cub didn't make it same with the dogs, She sat down and curled into a ball more tears escaping from her eyes as she stared into space.
