As Alex picked her up, she clung to him like a pair of wet leggings until he put her down.
She was really short and didn't weigh much either, giving her the appearance of a seven year old.
Maybelle wrapped her arms around his neck to keep herself balanced.
"Um uh, do you have anything to eat?" she managed to say in between raspy breaths, wiping her hands off on her t-shirt and wrinkling her nose.
"Like chocolate or something?" Maybelle added as quickly as she could.

Lily followed the others, She had her 4 year old brother in her arms, He was crying. She softly sang Two Worlds as she walked. Her brother had calmed down and was falling asleep. She looked around, The 16 year old girl always liked the forest but knew that when her brother woke up he would be hungry.

Charlie followed silently, She hoped they found somewhere with internet... Or a computer. She knew she and the others would probably get board. Charlie sighed as she followed.

"If your eating Something it won't be chocolate."he said as he dried off her feet and then slipping the socks on her.Opening his bag he took out a granola bar and broke off half of it before handing it to her"Kate carries the snacks for you guys so when she gets here we can more but for now that will have to be it okay?"he asked he had two more bars in his bag but he needed to save them for Caspar and Ben.Last thing he needed was Ben throwing a tantrum because he was hungry. Shutting the bag he picked her up and held her in his arms. "I'm going to have to carry you for now okay?Until we get you some shoes.He had given Kate all the money he had saved up which was roughly a hundreds dollars and told her to get food and clothing mostly shoes.He doubted she was going to buy anything but food because she could easily steal shoes from stores and medical supplies.Turning to the others he let his voice carry out "Okay listen!"he said "Kate has gone to get supplies.She will be meeting us later tonight at the abandoned army base just through the forest meaning we need to walk there.I can carry May and Bennet.Lilly if you could carry Caspar then I think we will be good."he said.Seeing most of the smaller kids weren't wearing shoes the last thing he needed was for them to get sick "Stay together and nobody runs off."he said "We will start moving in an hour.Theres a river over there so we can wash up "Little kids first us later."He said he had one towel that would have to be used for everyone.walking over to Lilly he handed her a granola bar "Here when he wakes up feed this to him no doubt it will help."he said with a sigh before walking back to the rock and taking out a towel
