Jessica gazed over and saw a girl about her age. She bit her lip nervously and glanced at her a few times. She seemed to be alone as she was. Slowly, Jessica stood up from her spot at the picnic table. She grabbed the handle of her suitcase and slowly began walking forward. She wasn't used to being super social, but she didn't want to be a loner, especially not on the first day of camp. She gently tapped the girl's shoulder and bit her lip. "Hi, I'm Jessica," she greeted the girl with a bright smile.
Luke sat at a picnic table by himself; his shy demeanor keeping him from sitting next to anyone. He hoped he wouldn't have to room with anyone super loud; at least, not until he got himself a few friends. He glanced over at the blonde girl in the middle. She was even dressed over-perky. He sighed and readjusted his luggage: standing his suitcase up and then slowly sliding his guitar case off his shoulder and setting it on his lap. He ran a hand through his messy blonde hair before watching more campers come from all directions, taking a seat at the picnic tables. He didn't want to talk to people he didn't know awkwardly, but he also didn't want to look like a loner. He was torn between two choices. He sat back and bit his lip, deciding to hold back.
