The story of how the camp got its name goes all the way back to 1983, when the camp was first started. At opening day, it only got a few volunteers to help counsel, and about twenty campers willing to spend their summer at the new campgrounds. This was because skeptical journalists believed the place was haunted, simply because the exterior of the cabins were darker than usual, and the starter of the program would not step up to accept the procedure's he'd taken to start the camp, thus creating rumors that the camp had started itself. Of course, they were quickly shut down when Mr. Quentin Thrum faced the press and admitted his attempts. Things went down hill from there. The same night it started, a thick storm spread across the night sky, tossing rain in every direction and twisting branches as much as two feet thick crashing to the ground. In the middle of the camp, the large oak tree was struck by lightening, turning it's bark black and the leaves brittle. The damage to the camp was so severe they shut it down the next day.
Now after thirty one years, the camp is being reopened, its target audience teenagers. Things have been set up all around the camp, including a large mess hall, higher quality cabins, and, of course, Wifi around the camp. So who will be attending the fresh, improved camp?
