Hawthorne Leslie Schoepke
"I like pie." Name: "My name's Hawthorne Leslie Schoepke. It comes with having a father like mine, who's German, named Leslie, and instructs classic American literature at the University of Chicago."
Age: "Old enough to ride my bike down to the end of the street! But seriously, I'm eighteen as of December 27th. It rocks."
Gender and Sexuality: "Dude that does NOT like dudes. Not that that's a problem, but...it's a problem when a very girly man starts flirting with me. Nonono..."
Physical Appearance: "My hair is straight and brown when I don't mess with it, and straight and black and awesome when I do mess with it. My eyes are the dullest shade of brown you'll ever see, and my skin is all Northern European and fries easily. I'm six foot, which drives my 5'4" mom crazy, and lithe, which also drives my mom crazy (she's convinced I don't eat enough, but then again we're Jewish and I'll never actually eat enough as far as she's concerned)."
Clothing: "Dark and awesome, or otherwise something that I like. I try not to flaunt the fact we have a little extra cash, so I'll always go for the cheaper items."
Personality: "Every city has a plethora of freaks...You're looking at one such freak. My clothing is dark, my room's decorated with fingerprints, and my conversations tend to wind up concerning weird historical facts. But I don't really mind. ^^ I'm happy where I am with what I do, and as it hasn't gotten me arrested yet, I'm content to leave it that way. So yeah, in a nutshell, I'm unique and aloof. And...maybe a little angry..."
Likes and Dislikes: "I loooooooooooooooooove my pets; my mom; my guitar; my music; history; nature; fingerprints; and me. And pie. I'm indifferent towards my father (to put it nicely), and I hate spiders; donkeys; and hurricanes."
Pets: "My beloved piebald ball python
Monty (get it, huh, huh??) and my sweet boy
Caligula."
Brief History: "I was born in Amsterdam during a literature conference, so obviously my father wasn't present at the birth of his first and only child. He cared enough to name me though, thus the moniker of Hawthorne, after good ol' Nate. As a family of three, we went back to Chicago, tenured in Washington and Texas, and returned to Chicago once more. Now I'm going camping with my friends, yay! I hope a bear doesn't eat me...or the pie I'm bringing..."
