Lexa smiled again, "yes, how about you?" she then asked him after answering, even though she already pretty much knew that he would answer the same thing.

"Yes, obviously" i said cheekily "Funny, we went from strangers to friends, to sorta best friends to girlfriend and boyfriend... how'd we manage that?" i giggled

Vern's smile returned. "Oh, and if you ever need a place to stay, I have a spare bedroom at my house. I do live alone, but I promise I'll stay on my side of the house," he said with a small grin. It was probably too soon to be offering to let her stay over, but he couldn't really bring himself to care. As much as he was relived that the other guy was nothing more than a close friend, he knew how quickly things could change and he didn't like the thought of losing Sarah before he even really had her. "And I hate to be this way, but it'll be really tempting on me too, so if I take it home don't be totally offended if there is... Less pie left."

Sarah smiled. "It's fine, but I may be coming over. Grant has been...acting differently, lately." she said softly. "Do you mind at all if I did stay over for a few nights? I don't want to restrict you in your own home though..." she said softly. She really didn't like the way Grant had been acting lately. She shuddered just thinking about it. "And it'll be fine, we can just come back and get another if you eat some." she offered, smiling.

Lexa shrugged her shoulders as he asked her, smiling again afterwards.

My head bopped up and down when she shrugged, like a roller coster, then more fireworks

Sarah smiled. "It's fine, but I may be coming over. Grant has been...acting differently, lately." she said softly. "Do you mind at all if I did stay over for a few nights? I don't want to restrict you in your own home though..." she said softly. She really didn't like the way Grant had been acting lately. She shuddered just thinking about it. "And it'll be fine, we can just come back and get another if you eat some." she offered, smiling.

"That sounds perfect," Vern said with a grin. He couldn't help but be happy at the fact that Sarah would be spending a few nights over. "And it won't be restricting, it'll be fun," he said with a wink and a grin. "Just one second," he said, going to the front counter once more. Grabbing a takeout box (shaped circularly) he went back to the table and put it in the box as carefully as he could, taking the pie pan back to the front at a drop-off like zone. "Alright, so it's only a ten minute or so walk back to my house," he said, "one of the places I do know how to get to easily."

Sarah smiled and giggled. "Alright..." She watched him as he grabbed the container to take the pie home, and laughed at his comment. "Well, I'd hope you know how to get back to your house." she replied. She couldn't keep the smile off of her face as she jumped down from the chair and stood next to him. "alright, let's go!" she said, eager to get to his place. She was tired, and her body wasn't quite used to the time difference yet.

Vern nodded, grinning a little. "Yeah, well... Not one of my finest moments, but I've forgotten how to get to my high school before during the first, oh, month or so that I first went there." He looked at the floor and went to the door and stepping out, holding it for her. "I'm just a little slow when it comes to some things." He laughed at himself a little, looking at the sky. "I love this time of day."
