Cue the hot mess, Ethel Marie Grayson. The girl who held a bucketful
of promise, only to be lost in the battle with the high school food chain. Her grades
were the among the highest through middle school, she was a competitive
swimmer who practiced six days a week and balanced her extracurricular activities
with that. A star pupil to say the least. Than, her family moved to Ohio. Enter
the flirt, the new Ethel. Her grades steadily dropped to just below average and
all she did after school was hang out with friends and kiss boys behind vending
machines. Her shorts got shorter and her neck lines lowered. Every guy knew her
as the girl who could be taken advantage of and every girl knew her as the girl
who stole their boyfriends. No one ever liked her long enough to get to know her.
No one knew that she went to the gym every morning, not because of the need
for a thigh gap and collarbones, but because of the need to release endorphin's
and relieve her problems. Or, that the mental-silence and emptiness of walks
entice her, which is what promotes her only plans in life. To move to a bustling
city in California where she has no need for a car, but can walk wherever
she needs. She also plans on getting a small thumbsize tattoo when
she moves to California. Just a simply patch of grass, a black outline of it.
Sitting on her left hipbone, an innocent tattoo, nothing extravagent.
No reason for it is in her mind, she just enjoys doing stuff for no reason.
This is both a flaw and a gift. As it can lead her to difficult situations,
but it can also lead her to some wonderful, unique experiences.
This is what the deal is with the majority of her charistics.
Including her being a naive girl. She has a strong belief that more
people need to be like her, in her sense of naive. That it is a complete
gift, which it can be, as it is harder to hurt her. Due to her lack of
seriousness. Although, it has gotten her into a lot of situations that
may not be important now, but will damage her future.

All in all, Ethel is simply damaged goods, but still with the potential
to be herself again. Broken promises scatter her past but, hopefully, that is
nothing she can't fix.
