It took Nina Andrews a good 10 minutes to have Kitty all dressed up and to have the diaper bag ready before she was out of their quarters of the ship, she strutted confidently to the center and waits, this is where she was told to meet some of the newer two year cruise winners. Little Kitty giggles as her petite little hands grasped to the corner of her blanket as she chews it.
"Aloha e komo mai! I am Nina Andrews, the Hawaii nei Tour Guide, and this is my daughter Catherine but I call her Kitty. How are you all liking it so far? Two years on a cruise ship and having fun in ka Hawaii nei!" Nina belts out from her diaphram with a massive smile on her face.

Full Name: Jared Duhamel

Nickname: J

Age: 29

Gender: Male

History: Jared was born in a poorer part of Georgia and mostly grew up in unofficial foster homes (aka neighbors) with other siblings (aka other children with parents who weren't always there). His mama taught him the basics of being a gentleman and an older brother taught him the basics of wooing the women. The rest he learned by himself through various mistakes and mishaps, some of his own and some he observed. As soon as he was 17 he dropped out of high-school with a GED and enlisted in the Corps. Two years and a deployment later he was dismissed for a disqualifying knee injury and he managed to lie his way into the Army. Almost six months later he was married to his first wife who was four months pregnant with his oldest son. Two years later with another kid on the way he found out during another deployment that it wasn't his. The deployment had been a rough one; a soldier under his command had succumbed to friendly fire injuries and he never managed to shake the feeling that it was somehow his fault. The unfaithfulness of his wife got to him and he told her he never wanted to see her again and she left, leaving the 14 month old behind for Jared to raise as soon as he got home from deployment.

Jared decided not to marry his second girlfriend when she got pregnant almost a year later. Although the twin girls were his, he found out from a buddy's wife that she had been unfaithful to him throughout their relationship and they broke it off. The girls will occasionally spend the summer with him but mostly stay with their mom. Now that the years have passed and Jared faced his problem with unhealthy relationships they are friends but nothing more. When Jared found out that he was going on a cruise he was initially angry but then his 11 year old convinced him to go under the basis he worked too hard and also, Jared suspected, because he wanted to spend that time at a friend's house. Jared couldn't really argue that and decided to put in the leave time and go.

Children: A 11 year old son and two 8 year old daughters.

Personalitly: Jared is a cautious and gruff man. At 29 he has learned a lot from his past mistakes and now the most important thing to him is his job. Second is his kids and then his daughter's mother. Jared has matured a lot past his early twenties and is very hesitant to enter relationships as he doesn't want a repeat of those years.

Although a pretty simple man, he usually knows how to make a person laugh and likes to hear other people talk although you'd be hard pressed to find out too much about him. He is curious about what makes others tick and doesn't mind the life-story strangers his buddies always complain about.

Your Main Dream of Love: Although he barely admits it to himself, Jared really is missing the comfort of a stable relationship and warm and kind woman in his life. He wants someone who he can let down his guard around and banter good-naturedly with. Another simple human being to be an escape from the drama his life so far has been and a solid person to come home to.

History: Addi grew up the daughter of two doctors. She was always a bit of a tomboy and enjoyed sports such as soccer and softball. It was through softball that she recognized her adoration of the female body and much to her parent's horror, began experimenting with other women. She was sent to a baptist college to play soccer but then lost her scholarship for fraternizing with one of the other female coaches. From there she joined a amateur soccer team and made money because they won games. What other stuff she couldn't afford her parents paid. At 22 she left the team knowing that part of her life was over after a bad breakup with one of the other girls.
From there she moved back home and her old high-school friends convinced her to go on a blind date with one of the boys who went to middle school with them who she hadn't seen since she was little. It was an incredible relationship but a little rocky, off and on for the next two years. When they broke it off for good her parents got tired of her moping around the house and informed her that she was going on a cruise, much to her horror. They hoped it would kick-start her much delayed entrance into adulthood and help her form healthy relationships.

Personalitly: Addi is a little crude but loves to laugh. Immature, she'll be the first to do something stupid to get the group into trouble and then manipulate her way out of it.

Your Main Dream of Love: Addi isn't really looking for love; her friends and parents are looking for it for her. Addi gets very emotionally attached to people and every relationship and breakup thus far has been incredibly dramatic.

Likes: Animals, sports, outdoors, clubs

Dislikes: Dressing up too much, come to Jesus meetings with her friends and parents, kids

(Thanks! There are definitely some other pretty interesting other characters, though. And if it is okay with you once we get into the roleplay I can definitely pick up some more males (1 or 2 more) if others are uncomfortable playing that gender. I really enjoy playing male characters.)

Jared - 29 - 3 kids - Single
Jared shouldered his duffel bag and squinted at the happy cruise lady, the sunlight slightly blinding. Although he wasn't wearing much in the way of uniform it wasn't too hard to tell that he was military even with the bright lei around his neck. The muscles, square jaw, and short cropped hair that was starting to pepper with grey even through his was so young easily gave it away. His stance was also a little intimidating to those who perhaps weren't too used to the military and his dark eyes gave nothing away; he was stressed and uncomfortable. This was completely new to him and he wasn't sure if he was going to regret it yet. He was already making plans to get his son to meet them at one of the ports where they re-fueled and re-stocked in a couple of months. It seemed he was the only one on this ship who didn't have a kid. Forcing himself to relax a little, he dropped the crossed arms and tried to relax his expression slightly, even attempting a pathetic twitch of a smile as he listened to the nice lady. A cruise was going to be really nice, he admitted. He did really need the break. He only needed a week or two to get comfortable as being in the military for over a decade had taught him not to trust new things, especially civilian things. Once he figured out how they operated, secured the perimeters, and became more familiar with the people and assessed them he knew he would be completely spoiled by the time he got back.

Addi - 26 - No Kids - Single
Addi was half listening to the pretty woman as she searched through her raggedy pull tie bag she called a "purse". Where the hell was her cell phone. Chewing her gum, she finally found it and flipped through some messages from people she didn't care about wishing her a safe trip before turning her phone off.
Sighing, she gave her attention to the woman. If she was going to be forced to do this for two years she was going to do her best to enjoy it. The kids and babies surrounding her were already giving her the heebie jeebies and she muttered something about the "cougar cruise" under her breath, even though she was easily just as old as the other women there. Mentally, perhaps not.
"Um-" she interrupted, waving a hand. "Yeah, Aloha Nina" she said with a terrible accent, not even trying to pronounce it right. "Is there a bar on here? And where are the smoking areas? How about a gym?" She obviously hadn't read the many pamphlets her parents had strategically placed around the house in attempt to excite and motivate her.

As Nina tried her best to explain the activities Catherine "Kitty" squirmed around in her mother's arms giggling at all the people and waving with her tiny little toddler hands all around she then yelled with an adorable laugh, "HI!" That had Nina giggling then she walked over to Addi with a bright smile on her face as she produced a map of the ship from her baby bag and a permanent marker following it. "The bar is located on the fourth level right here," she boxes the bar, "the smoking areas are at the bough of the ship and your quarters if you so as inquired of having a smoking room, and the gym is located on the main level on the far side of the ship by the pool." When Nina handed the mad to Addi her eyes landed on Jared and she squished up her face in an attempt to forget what her late military husband had done to her, then she walked nervously through the hoards of people doing the samething she did with Addi with them, finally she was with Jared holding a map and letting Kitty hold the marker for now as she asks without looking up at him, "is there anything in particular that you would care to know the location of, our docking dates and locations, or anything Sir?"

When the tour guide began making her way through the small crowd, Jared looked at one of the pamphlets and tried to look busy and informed. He had read them all of course, and memorized the blueprints of the ship just like any reasonable person would have. He knew where everything was SUPPOSED to be but now he had to have an eyes on. When she spoke to him Jared was momentarily struck for words and tried to think of something to say without sounding stupid as the gurgling baby waved at him. He remembered when his girls had been that young. Now that they had begun to discover their mother's makeup and boys (which he thought was waaaay too early) it seemed like forever ago. It wasn't really, though. It wasn't an unreasonable thought that he could ever have a newborn again. Not that he had any plans to.
He noticed a quick flash of something on her face and he tried to place the emotion but he couldn't yet. He had no way of knowing what her history was and even though he had read the brief bios on the cruise site they had all been incredibly vague. "Yes, ma'am. Could you point me in the direction of my room?" He asked. He knew where the stairs were and where his room was for the most part but he didn't want to seem like a creep. Plus she was kind of nice and "Kitty" was really amusing him, as much as he didn't let on.

Addi - 26
"No, no. I don't smoke." Easing away from the baby without making it too obvious, Addi popped her gum and took the map with a hearty but seemingly somewhat sarcastic "thanks!" Looking it over, she popped her gum a couple more times indicating she was thinking and then made a decision.
"The pool it is. Hopefully it is nude tolerant." Whether she was serious or gave no hint to those within earshot of her. She probably didn't even know herself if she'd really do it. If anything was an option ever she'd probably try it. Hell, she'd probably try it even if it wasn't an option. What would they do, throw her overboard? Her parents would love that, she thought with a smirk.
