I let out a sigh as I walked down the street, a warm breeze blowing through the hot summer air. I was so glad it was summer...on the downside I was new in town. I hadn't met anyone yet, and was hopefully planning on today. I spotted the park and turned, my converse hitting the pavement as I strode quietly into the green area. There were benches and a jungle gym that little kids were playing on. Moms with strollers, people having picnics, runners with their dogs. Seemed like a normal day to me.
I took a turn and my eyes were focused on something else. Suddenly, I was face to face with someone or something, bumping into they/it. My eyes trailed to what was in front of me: a boy around my age or maybe slightly older. "Aha, sorry." I said as I backed up so we weren't so close.
