"I do it's just that this is my what?Second?Time seeing one...the first one might have been a firework..."he said as he looked at her before turning around and opening the door,waiting for her to go in first.Sometimes I don't know how we manage to keep a stable friendship... he sighed as the thought wandered into his mind.

Nunki nodded, "Understandable, this is possibly my 5th time wishing on a shooting star...and my wish still hasn't come true." She said, saying the last part a little sadly. She went in through the door, into the house, Lou and her grandpa was already asleep.

"They'll come in time"he said with a gentle smile before closing the door softly."So where am I sleeping?"He asked her as he took off his coat.

"Oh, uhm...Lou already took over Mom's room and turned it into a nursery, soooooo, I guess on the couch or something." Nunki replied, answering Joel's question.

He nodded"The couch is comfortable enough for me...just let me get some clean clothes from my suitcase in your room"he said before starting to make his way to her room.
~{one changing later}~
He walked into the living room,wearing some jeans and a hoodie.He flopped down onto the couch groaning into the fabric.

"Comfortable now?" Nunki asked Joel as he flopped down onto the couch. She wasn't exactly tired, not after her nap earlier. She planned to ride Spartan, he still needed his exercise after all.

He said something into the couch's fabric before moving slightly,letting out a not-so-manly yelp as some joint made a 'crack' noise.He whimpered quietly and sat up,hugging his knee close to his chest.

Nunki's eyebrow rose before she spoke again, "Well, uhm, I'm going to go and ride Spartan...call me if you need anything." She walked to the door and grabbed her black cowgirl hat and her mom's moccasin jacket.

He nodded and mumbled a quiet 'okay' before spreading out over the couch,more of his joints cracking.He stared at the ceiling,letting his thoughts engulf him.

Nunki waved goodbye before leaving the house and going into the barn. She took Spartan out of his stall and tacked him up, then she mounted him and went on her way to a special spot she had found years ago when she was trail riding. It was in the woods, a gorgeous waterfall in a small clearing in the woods that seemed as if it were made by magic.
