He growled louder before quieting down and kneeling down beside Nunki,wrapping his arms around her "instinctively".He hummed quietly,taking note of what she had said earlier"Don't say things like that..."he said quietly.He felt his own emotions try to break the barrier but he stayed in control.

Nunki didn't look up, she couldn't bear looking into his face, not after saying what she had said, she also didn't want him to see the tears rolling down her cheeks, "Joel, the whole entire universe hates me. My biological mom died, my once awesome dad turned into a total...monster, and to top it all of, my once wonderful boyfriend, who is now my ex, turned into a cheater, a...douche bag. I'm hurting so much that I...I...feel like I'm not meant to be here, that my real mom was supposed to live and not me. The universe hates me because I let her die, and now it's taking it's revenge. I just want it all to end." She replied, pain blooming where her heart is.

He felt like he was going to cry himself...and then probably murder Ty.He gently lifted up her chin with his fingers"I...in my whole life will never probably feel as much pain as you have and the only thing I can do is comfort people and do things to make them happy,I was almost never happy when I was younger but I decided to make the people around me happy while I suffered quietly,most of the people who were jerks to you deserve to burn in h**l in an elevator but that doesn't mean that they can pull you down with them,you have to stay strong no matter what comes into your way,it's like...jumping over a fence with a horse,you just have to keep going,I've had my experiences with break-ups,jerks and deaths but like I said before,the amount of pain that I have faced will never equal the amount you have faced"he said,feeling his cheeks heat up once he realized how much he had said.

Nunki looked at with shock on her face, tears still coming out of her eyes and rolling down her cheeks, and hugged him, "Oh Joel, I didn't know...if I did, I wouldn't have had burdened you so much with my pain...I...I hate seeing people in pain." She said, her voice breaking a little. "You're a good guy...did you know that I've never trusted guys ever, other than you and my Grandpa??" She asked him a little shyly, confessing.

He felt his body lean back slightly but he managed to steady himself,wrapping one of his arms around her waist while using the other to keep himself up.Once he heard her little 'confession' he felt his cheeks heat up and expected his cheeks to look like tomatoes."L-l-listen..."he stuttered No no no no..."I...uhh...mmm..."he felt his heart speed up.

"What is it Joel?" Nunki said, speaking in a soft voice, knowing how nervous he gets, her own heart speeding up. She had just realized what she said and her cheeks flared up, her face turning into a nice shade of pinkish-red.

He held his breath"C-c-can we talk in you room or somewhere more...concealed?"he stuttered,realizing that they were on the ground in the barn and that Ty could be lurking around any corner...plus her grandfather was outside.

An eyebrow rose on Nunki's face and she replied, "Sure." She stood up, brushing off her jeans with her hands.
