Joel looked at Jake"Ready when you are"he said before resting his eyes on the herd of cattle.He made sure he was handling the horse correctly,just to be safe as he didn't want any accidents.

(Yeah.)

Jack came back from rounding cattle up with Joel trailing behind on his horse. They were laughing at jokes and stuff.

Nunki had brushed her hair down and put it in twin braids when she came out of the house and into the barn. She had her black cowgirl hat with the gold band on it, she wanted to ride Spartan so bad now that she was here, her hometown. A smile crept onto her face when Spartan saw her and stuck his nose out, wanting attention.

He clutched his side,just managing to stay balanced on the horse.Thump.The world hated him and he knew it.He sat up from the ground,still laughing"I'm fine,I'm fine"he said between laughs.He stopped after a while and stood up,finally able to breathe again.

Jack chuckled, dismounting his horse, "So, how long are you and Nunki staying here? Hopefully the rest of the summer...but, I can't count on that." He said with a sigh, he missed his daughter terribly, and he wouldn't have sent Nunki to Pickering, Oregon where her aunt lived if it wasn't to protect her, but it was.

He shrugged"She never really told me when we were going back..."he said and shrugged"I'm guessing she'll probably want to go when that guy pushes her over her limits"he said as he looked over at the horses.

Jack sighed looking down, "Yeah, probably...hopefully not before Lou's baby is born though. It would be a crying shame if she missed the baby's birth." He said, leading the horse into the paddock after taking the tack off except for the halter and brushing the horse down.

Nunki heard feet going down the stairs the led to the loft and knew that Ty was coming down, so she moved on and took Spartan out of his stall, brushing him down, without looking up because she didn't want to see the guy who broke her heart into probably 50 million pieces.

Joel nodded and led the horse he was riding into the paddock too,taking of the tack and leaving on the halter,just as Jack did.Once he had brushed his horse down he looked over at Jack"So...what now?"he asked.

"Put the horse in the paddock and, well, I do need help moving the hay...our neighbor's daughter, Chrissie, decided to leave the water hose on where the hay is, and now I have to move the hay so it won't rot." Jack replied with a sigh.

Ty walked over to Nunki and said, "Hello." Nunki ignored him, still brushing Spartan, and Ty got a bit frustrated after his fifth 'hello' and grabbed her arm roughly. "Leave me alone Ty." She said, speaking in a calm voice. He replied, "I said hello." Nunki glared at him darkly and replied, "And I said leave me alone," trying to yank her arm away, but he was too strong, "Let me go Ty!" She yelled at him, but he didn't let go, instead he asked, "Why won't you talk to me Nunki?" She closed her eyes for a second and took a deep breath before speaking, "Let. Me. Go. Now!" Ty growled again and pushed her against the wall, causing Nunki to yelp in fright.

He opened his mouth to speak but upon hearing a thud and yells he ran towards where they had originated from.He stood at the barn's entrance before walking around quietly,listening for more sounds.He could see two dim figures,one against a wall and the other seemed to be pinning the other down.He slowly straightened up and walked behind the guy,a deep growl rumbling in his chest"Let.Her.Go".

Nunki whimpered a little, breathing a bit heavily. She wished that Ty wasn't here. In that moment she wished that she hadn't even been born, at least then she wouldn't have had experienced all this pain and fear. She wished that she could have had a normal dad and a mom that was alive. She wished that her heart wasn't so broken. Ty glared at her for a minute before letting her go with a grunt and walking back up to the loft. Nunki slumped down to the ground, finally giving up, and whispered to no one in particular, "I wish I had died along with my mom."
