"Lily Pad... Please be stopping." Natalia says, her cheeks flaring up again. She looks back at Bryan, then at Lil, mouthing something in Belarusian.

"I approve too, but hey, whatever." I say with a smirk.

"Wh-what are you trying to say, Bryan?" Natalia asks, her harsh tone dropping in favour of a more curious one. She couldn't believe she was actually talking to this boy. She was the strong guardian, or that's what she thought she was.

I shrug. "Dunno." I say to her.

Natalia hesitates, before digging through her pocket and finding a paper and a pen. She scrabbled down her number, cramming it into Bryan's hand roughly before storming off angrily.

Lil looks after Natalia, then smiles. "I think she likes you, then again, she could just be confused. Culture here is a lot different than in her country."

I smiled at the piece of paper, then turn to Lillian. "You think?" I aske her with a smile.

"Yes. See, she gets upset when she likes somebody because she feels weaker, and... She's kinda mean, to be honest. That's why I hide behind her!" Lil says with a small chuckle. "So she'll act meaner and rougher if she likes you."

"I can tr-try to ask her to be nicer, if you want, Mr. Bryan." Lil offers with a genuine smile, even though she was shaking.
