Bryce didn't mind much that Renee snapped at him. He knew she was...well, unstable because of the baby and all. He walked out after her, taking his time to let her cool off. But he got there and saw she was crying. He reached over and put his hand on her shoulder.

Candice sighed as she thought. "Well if you want to officially meet my brother..but I don't see why you'd want to." She joked with a fake laugh.

Renee sighed."I'm sorry...i just don't understand why you won't tell me. We should be able to talk to each other as husband and wife." She said wiping away her tears and looking up at him.

"Why is that baby? I would really like to meet what's left of your family. I want your brother to like me." Said Evan gently as he stood up,

Bryce kept silent as he looked back ahead and started the car.

"Well my brother's an idiot, you shouldn't care if he likes you or not. He's barely apart of my family anymore anyway." Candice said pitifully. She looked at the ground and swallowed, feeling a sudden, random wave of emotion wash over her. She looked up and smiled, wanting to change the subject. "I'm sorry I'm always like this when I talk about him.." She said shyly.

Renee shook her head. She glanced at him before looking back at the ground.

Evan nodded. It didn't matter he still wanted her family to like him."c'mon..don't you want to talk too Renee and find out about your niece or nephew?" He asked as he held her in his arms.

Bryce started the car and they started driving for the house again. "Candice will probably be here soon, I know she's pretty excited about the baby." He commented.

Candice perked up. "Oh yeah!" She remembered the appointment. Her smile faded and she looked at Evan. She sighed. "Okay, you can meet him. But don't say I didn't warn you." She kidded.

Renee nodded." Yeah...I told her to stop by. Maybe she will bring Evan. " she said cheerfully. She carefully got out of the car once they arrived home.

Evan chuckled." Ok gorgeous. Are you ok with what you are wearing or do you want to change?" He asked as he led her inside his home.

Bryce narrowed his eyes as he watched Renee walk away. Oh brilliant, meeting Evan. This will be fun...

Candice looked down at his mom's clothes she was wearing. "Well I have some spare clothes at my brother's, I can change there. And I can wash your mom's clothes for her there." She said sweetly.
