History: Rory was diagnosed quite some time ago with leukemia, though soon the cancerous cells had formed a tumor as well in his brain. He was told he had two years to live, thus came to America to have as much fun as he possibly could in that period of time.

Rory was born an Albino, a condition which is the lack of pigmentation in the skin and hair, causing a lack of colour. His mother, Anabelle (Chase) Hovey and father Grant Hovey found to their demise that their newborn son wouldn't be 'normal'. He grew up in as an only child in Finland. His mother taught french and english at school, so he learned both of those languages growing up as well as sweedish and Finnish as they are his countries official languages. Believe it or not, Rory was accepted to the school with a music scholarship. He plays the piano rather excellently, and can sing as well but rarely does in any other language but finnish.

Your side of the Dorm Room looks like: Rory has his half of the room's walls painted with black chalkboard paint, which he always seems to have his writing on. He does formulas on it, drawings and messages. He has a small wooden desk with a red laptop and a equally hard wooden chair. He seems to have an assortment of papers done, and his side is always very spotless. Rory has a large collection of old books, though they are in exellent condition, that he keeps in five stacks taller than he is against the wall by his desk. He even has a bible in there believe it or not. Rory has a small lamp on his desk, and a simple bedspread. There's a small basket about the size of a wallet on his desk full of different colours of chalk, he usually writes until there is no space before wiping it down.

Alaska hurried down the hallway, towards her room, excited to see it again. She opened the door and smiled, seeing that it was exactly how she had left it over the summer. She grinned, and inhaled the smell of paperback books that littered her desks, bookshelves, bed, and floor. She placed her bag on the bed and she sat down. She was more glad than usual to be back at school, and she couldn't help but wonder who her roommate was; hopefully someone who didn't mind Alaska's craziness.

The young man walked down the hallway, the metal of his ID bracelet cold against his skin. He was never without it, that would be dangerous. The young man made his way to the music room, not bothering to knock before entering and sitting at the familliar piano. He had been here for about a week, frosh week probably the most fun he had in a while. He sighed an played Hungarian Rhapsody #2 as he had many times before, having learnt the piece over a year during his middle school career. He was bored honestly, but the music was good company. Everyone who knew Rory seemed to grow fond of him, he was just a people person.

Alaska lifted her head to the muted sound of a piano playing. The song was very faintly heard from her dorm, but yet it was beautiful. She stood, and dashed up the stairs. The sound grew louder, and she recognized - barely - the tune of it. It was a song she had heard once of twice. Peeking in through the door, as to not interrupt, she watched for a few seconds, closing her eyes, listening to the music.

The young man's hands moved quickly across the keys, when finished letting out a soft breath he wasn't aware he was holding. " Täytyy harjoitella tuota enemmän.." he spoke in a soft exasperated tone before getting up and nearly falling over at the sight of Alaska, able to steady himself before laughing softly. "Sorry. I didn't know you were there. Was I disturbing you?" he seemed genuine, his thick accent making his words sound much more innocent than they would have otherwise. Not many could pull off his personality, yet he could. Rory didn't have a mean bone in his body.

Francesca tied her up in a side braid and shut her locker. She didn't really know why she opened it in the first place. She sighed and walked down the halls, humming a soft tune she had heard earlier that morning. Checka yawned and leaned against a wall, taking out her phone. She turned the device on and was greeted by a blindingly bright screen. She unlocked the phone and scrolled through her apps, bored.
