Ajax gave a nod to Jacob and knelt down next to the girl, helping pick her her scattered papers. He looked up and smiled again, arranging the papers into a neat pile and handing them to her.

Ajax chipped in and started helping Kyle pick the papers up.
"Thanks." Kyle managed a shy smile and tucked a loose strand of brown hair behind her ear, as he put the papers in a neat pile and gave them back to her.
Suddenly a female voice said, "Wow, it's like the new girl's a flower and a bee is buzzing around her. Hope she has enough pollen to go around, 'cause I think some other bees will want some."
After the rude remark, Kyle heard a couple of laughs coming from other students.
She looked back to see who insulted her, but the girl walked out of the room before she could get a glimpse of her.
