Mathew heard the sound of someone approaching him from behind. The crunch of the leaves underneath their feet is what grabbed his attention. But he didn't turn away form throwing rocks repeatedly into the water. He only got a glimpse of the person when they sat down at the edge of the creek. But he could only see their back, and he could tell it was a girl. By the bright red hair that was a bit to long for a boy. He looked away form her as soon as he had looked at her, and threw another rock muttering things under his breath. Thing like, 'I hate my father,' 'I wish I could take my brother and sister and leave.' Before sighing when he ran out of rocks. He sat down and put his head in his hands remembering all the times his father had acted out on him when his mother left them. And how hard he tried to protect his brother and sister, often leaving them with the neighbor so they didn't get hurt/

Tyler glanced at the boy, carefully. She bit her lip, and just kept starring at him for no reason. He was a little cute, but she would probably never date him, no one liked her. A small sigh left her as she looked back down at her lap. He was probably thinking something, he looked to be having great turmoil. Tyler didn't really think of anything, she sometimes would think like a Proton, and then the next like an Electron. It all depended on her mood. But, right now, she felt lonely and weird to be around someone.

Mathew mumbled something under his breath and tossed another rock into the creek. Every thought he had of his father just made him angrier and angrier. He had stood up, with one rock left in his hand. He gripped it tightly in his hand bringing his hand back he chucked it. And it cleared the river going into the woods somewhere on the other side of the creek. He kneeled back down again hanging his head as he ran his hand threw his hair in frustration. Licking his lips he tilted his head back and looked up at the sky taking deep breathes trying to calm down. Just the slightest bit, he didn't want to do something he would regret later.

Tyler looked back at the boy with a sigh. "Hi," the girl finally spoke, but in a small tone. Maybe she could be socializing with this boy today. Finally, her anti-social side thought different. She gave the boy a forced smile, and a small wave. Hopefully he was nice, and not rude like everyone else in her life. She just wanted someone to like her for once.

I nodded. "I'm guessing you were heading for the skate park?" I ask, the buzzing in my leg had stopped, I didn't really care about my leg as the bleeding had stopped, I grabbed my skateboard with a smile.

He nodded, holding up the skateboard that had belonged to his brother for years. "It looks like it," he said. It wasn't like he was an expert skateboarder. He was barely even good, but there was nothing else he had to do in this new town. No friends had been made yet.

Mathew's head snapped up and he looked at the girl. He didn't say anything at first just looked at her for a few seconds before replying. "Hi," he mumbled before looking out at the creek. He wasn't trying to be rude if that's what he came off as he just wasn't having a good morning, he was having a horrible morning. He sighed and closed his eyes taking a deep breath. Before looking at her. "Your not from around here are you?" he asked her tilting his head to the side slightly.

"Nope, not one bit.."Tyler replied back to him with a small smile. She curled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Her chin was laid on top of her knees, gently. "What about you?" she asked him with curiosity flowing through her. Her icy blue eyes watched him, and followed his movements. Only a single small smile lingered onto her face.

Mathew nodded his head as he looked at her. Before glancing up at the sky. "I grew up here, this has been my home since birth," he muttered shrugging. He turned to her again to ask another question. "So what's your name? Mines Mathew," he said running a hand threw his hair. He sat down so he was sitting criss cross on the ground. Placing his hat on his head so he wasn't tempted to run his hand threw his hair repeatedly.

Tyler smiled at him and looked down at the water. "I'm tyler," she replied, instantly. The young girl moved her red hair aside from her face and looked back at him. "You seem..... sad, or upset, anything wrong, Mathew?"she seemed a bit worried, but didn't really show it too much.

Running his hand down his face he sighed. Before glancing up at her giving her a small smile. But it was gone as fast as it had appeared. "It's nothing you need to worry about Tyler," he muttered and placed his elbows on his knees and resting his chin on his knuckles. "When did you move here?" he asked changing the subject off of him and back to her. He really didn't want to talk about his issues. Especially with some girl he literally just met.
