A small smile grew on his lips as he watched Mitzi saunter over to him. He was sitting at his small dinner table, a glass of coffee in his hands. Mitzi didn't look very small, but Cedric knew she was. It was just all that fluff covering her up. He watched as she jumped up to the table, her wide and beautiful eyes staring up at him. "Good morning, dearest." He told her with a sing song voice. He reached over and scratched her under the chin a bit. She purred at him, closing her eyes and leaning into his hand. He chuckled and got up, taking his cup to his small kitchenette. He placed the cup in the sink and let the hot water work its magic. Within a few seconds, the cup was sparkly clean. He dried it quickly and then put it back up in it's place in the cupboards.
He walked back over to his bathroom to wash his face and get dressed. It wasn't much but it was all he could afford. It wasn't like he could afford for his entire closet to be name brand clothing. Most of what he had came from Thrift Stores and the like. They were cheap but he liked them. He pulled on his favorite gray sweater and pulled it on over his plain white t-shirt. He pulled off his P-Jama pants and pulled on a pair of skinny jeans. Satisfied, he walked back out into the living room. He laughed when he noticed Mitzi rolling around on the table like a mad-cat. He walked over and placed his hand on her stomach. She stopped and looked up at him, her eyes wide. He shook his head and rubbed her belly. She clawed at him but he pulled away before she could do much damage, not that she ever really tried.
He walked over to the front door and pulled on his boots as well as his long brown coat, his cozy scarf, and his beanie. With that, he was out the door and on his way to work at the Book Store. When he arrived, Mrs. Francis was already getting boxes out. He shook his head and stopped her, grabbing them for her and taking them where she needed them to be.
