Christian was about to say something when his friends called his name. He turned his head slightly to see what they wanted, but he couldn't exactly tell. "I'll see you around" he told the girl, giving a slight wave before turning on the heels of his feet, and walking back to his friends.

"Say something not stupid..." she thought. "Yeah, I guess," she said, cursing herself mentally and smiling again. "See you."

[stormi.]

"I need food" Christian told his friends when he got back to where they were standing, "lets head over to the cafeteria and get a bite before class" he suggested to the group,

Marilyn sighed. "Why didn't I say something less stupid?" She had seen Christian around before and thought he was cute, but had never had the nerve to go up and talk to him. And here he was, talking to her, and she let him go with a stupid "Um, yeah, thanks," and a dorky smile. She continued through the hallway to her English class, where she hoped she could eat lunch and do some homework in peace.

Christian walked with his friends to the cafeteria and stood in line so they could buy a snack or two and eat. "Hopefully the food is better this year than it was last" he said with a slight laugh afterwards.

[Should one of your characters go talk to Marilyn? Just for the sake of keeping the thing going. Boy or girl.]

Marilyn walked to her classroom, but when she reached for the doorknob she realized it was locked. Her teacher must have been at a meeting or something. She frowned, not sure where to go. The library was always very noisy and crowded at lunch, as was the cafeteria. She decided to try her luck at the cafeteria and get something to eat. She bought an apple and some French fries and sat down at an empty table, opening a book.

Christian pulled his wallet out of his back pocket and pulled out a five dollar bill, handing it to the lunch lady that was working the register today. As he waited for his friends, he glanced around the cafeteria, and smiled when he spotted Marilyn again. "I'll catch up with you guys later" he told his friends, walking up to the table Marilyn was at and sitting down, "hello again" he said.

She glanced up from her book, smiling when she realized who it was. "Well, hello, again. You just can't seem to stay away," she teased, laughing.

Christian laughed at her comment, "seems that way" he told her. The boy opened his bag of chips and took one out, immediately putting it into his mouth afterwards,

"Can I have a chip?" she asked, for lack of better ideas of what to say.
