Smiling, she handed a girl, who looked to be about her age, the bag filled with the candies she had bought. "Come again!" She said, watching the girl and her friends leave the store, one of them saying they'd be coming back in February and buying something for their boyfriend. Leaning back in her chair, she once again sighed. How nice, i'd like to have someone to give chocolates to on Valentines day. She thought, reaching over and turning on the small radio that sat on the check out counter, tired of the silence that was slowly filling the store.

Victoria checked all of the animals cages. She saw that the hamster's cage was low on water. She smiled a little; she had been in this job almost as soon as she came here, and she loved it. She was also the person who named most of the animals, even if they got a new name when they were bought. "Just a second Snowflake, Solar, Shadow and Sunshine. I'll get you guys some more water." She whispered, leaning close to the cage. Snowflake was white, Solar ginger, Shadow almost black and Sunshine golden. She ran to the back and filled up their bottle, and then came back and put it in their cage once again.
