I nod lightly, looking down at the ground as I continue walking beside him.

I cut off the silence. " Who did you get as a roomate. " I said. So a random question. I couldn't keep silence between us. I hate silence.

I shrug, pulling out the paper from where I'd put it inside my messenger bag. "Someone named Christina," I say, then look back up at him. "You?"

"I dude named Tod but Im gonna call him Cody for no particular reason. "

My shoulders slump as he walks away and I look down at the ground, walking quietly. Why do I have to be so shy? I ask myself, knowing it's my being quiet that made him leave.

As I walked through the halls I was looking for someone else to talk too. The last girl was well to quiet. I couldn't take it.
