Jacob walked home, tears in his eyes. He couldn't stand to talk to Isaac. Isaac had been the one there for his sister, not him. He missed her desperately. When he got home there was a note on his bed. 'Jacob Colins. My favorite brother.' She had loved him, he just locked her out. Kept her in the cold. He called out in pain. His heart was ripping in two. One part for thinking Aurora was strong and the other for knowing something was wrong. Why couldn't he have talked to her? He opened the letter.
'I loved you.. I really did.. I just.. You didn't let me tell you.. You believed that I was better. I let you believe that.. I didn't want to hurt you with the truth.. You used to ask me what is wrong, It is hard to answer that if nothing is right Jacob. You looked for cuts and scars, but not all scars show, not all wounds heal, Sometimes you cant see the pain someone feels. Jacob. Jacob, Jacob... I love you... Through each beating I thought, I prayed you would wake up one day and apologize, and hug me. Talk to me, like we used to... We were so close Jacob... So close...'
Jacob began sobbing, he grabbed the letter and ran to Isaac's house apartment whatever. Once he got there he rang the bell. And again, and again.. He needed to talk to someone who knew her. Really knew her. He called Wynter. "Hey, meet me at Isaac's house. Its about Aurora. We really need to talk." He said knowing that Wynter didn't know yet. No one had the heart to call her.
I know why
the caged bird sings.
A caged bird stands
on a grave of dreams,
his shadow shouts on
a night mares scream.
We think the caged bird sings,
when indeed, he cries.
The song of a bird,
can never be caged.
