His mother had been around then, actually present in his life, he meant. "You look... amazing, by the way," he said as he admired her long eyelashes and delicate features (though he subconsciously just wished not to dwell on the subject).

Ember sighed, "Huh, oh yeah, I could use a little" she said shyly. She checked out while she was on the phone then stopped for a second, "You know where the house is right?" She asked quickly checking her watch.

"Yeah" she half whispered, lost in thought. She remembered how easy it was then how she didn't have to pretend. Her mother just loved her no matter what. She wasn't sure if he knew but he would find out eventually. (I was thinking her mother get home unexpectedly and Ara has to run upstairs and change and have him stall her mom, like the idea?) "Thank you, your not so bad yourself" she said jokingly with a wink to change the mood knowing neither one of them wanted to dwell on the mother subject.

Tara smiled softly and nodded Didn't I say you cold do it? She smiled softly, she knew she was scared, but if you fall of your horse, you get right back on. She fell off herself at the age of 4, she got back on within 3 seconds. Smiling gently she pulled the reins over the pony's neck, she really didn't care how she or Eli rode, Kari was riding with a helmet, no if buts or maybes, when she reached 18, she could choose wether or not she wanted a helmet. She pulled a helmet out and handed it to her holding the ponies reins she led the pony out of the barn and gave him a cracker from her pocket, smiling she waited for Kari and Eli while she cooed the pony speaking softly to him and standing with a peaceful motion, she broke many horses in, and many ponies for kids as she didn't break, she was what was known as a horse whisperer, this has nothing to do with whispering but more so understanding every motion of the horse and it took up to a month or more for a horse to be ridden if broken in her ways. But, they'd be much more responsive and quiet, never bucking, never rearing, listening happily. Smiling she walked the pony around a bit to stretch himself before hushing him and doing his girth up again so the saddle wouldn't slip, giving the pony a slap on the neck when he bit her arm, ponies did this, they were cheeky and they did bite, nip, and push you around, but Tara didn't tolerate it. Waiting quietly she looked to Kari and smiled Ready?

Tara finished tacking up and went to her float pulling her black boots on and pulled her black jeans over the top of the boots, grabbing her black hat she then walked outside placing soft spurs on, she then led the western saddled chestnut thoroughbred towards the ring, they were split reins so she had one rein over Bella's neck, the other in her hand. Leading her calmly past other horses, each time she passed another mare, the thoroughbreds ears would pull back and she'd snake her head. Smiling she stroked the mares nose and spoke calmly before heading towards the ring hearing her name, she looked back at her brother Don't worry, i'm going She smiled as he reminded her about her run, she stroked Bella aned led the thoroughbred to the ring. Rolling her eyes at a few guys who whistled and all that cr*p.

Conduroy smiled, shrugging. He personally didn't think himself that attractive. "We should do something," he said as a sudden idea came to him. "We could go to the roller rink downtown. Catch up maybe."

Dan nodded his head a bit, even though he knew she wouldn't be able to tell from the other side of the phone. "Yeah, I know where ya live, I'll meet you there in a few minutes" Daniel said lightly, waiting a moment to see if the girl had anything else to say before hanging up and heading out to his truck... which was once again missing. Sighing, Dan vaguely remembered his brother mentioning about a rodeo and assumed that's where his truck was at. Walking into the house, Dan picked up a different set of keys and walked to his dads truck, climbing in he started the engine and headed off for Ember's house.


Pouting a bit, Kari handed the normal helmet back to Eli and gave him a half glare, half you know I want my helmet. Chuckling slightly, Elliot placed Carly's practice helmet on a hay bale and picked Kari's childish pink one up off the hook on the wall. Putting it on her head backwards, the little girl flipped it around so the unicorn on the side was facing the right way and buckled the strap under her chin before walking outside a bit excitedly. "Yeah, I'm ready" she said, smiling brightly, suddenly excited to ride again. Eli smiled as he walked over to them, he was carrying the mounting block and placed it next to the pony before standing next to Tara. "I hope you know that you nearly got me killed by two little girls" he chuckled quietly, glancing at the helmet then back at Tara.
