Amanda rolled her eyes, "It's magenta, thank you very much, and for your information, even with my hair no one notices me at school. And there are not many other freaks at school. I would put myself into the freak category, and I'm the one who anyone barely ever sees." She glanced at the water, remember the few times that she had actually gotten noticed. It either ended up with her getting bruises or a broken heart. But the ladder only had happened once, thank God for her.

Joe put his hands up defensively, "I'm sorry magenta." he chuckled putting his hands down,
"You're really bothered by my shorts aren't you?" he asked with another chuckle.

Amanda shrugged, "I'm more in for the fun of the teasing, but sure, you can say that." she said, looking back over at him. It was true, she really didn't care about his shorts. Teasing was fun and she was bored, so she saw an opportunity and she took it. She tends to just jump at things whenever she sees the chance.

Joe nodded, "I see. Nothing really exciting ever does go down at the beach does it. At least not this one, no beached whales that get rescued by helicopter or anything. But we do have weird guys in brightly colored swim shorts." he said with a smile.

Amanda chuckled a bit, "Yeah, very brightly colored swim shorts. I'm guessing orange is your favorite color?" It wasn't actually a question, just a tease again, but she couldn't help it. And she was happy that this guy was actually talking to her, and wasn't a pervert or a grumpy person. She hated grumpy people so, so much.

Joe shook his head, "Nope, my favorite color is grey actually." he chuckled knowing how odd that is especially with him wearing possibly the brightest swim shorts ever.

Amanda shook her head, a small smile on her face. "You're weird. I like that. So, Orangy," She said, calling him a name she had just came up with, "what's your real name? Because as much as 'Orangy' suits you, I don't think that's what everyone else calls you,"

Brent saw that she was by the shore and he was glad that she didn't come on in, so he would try to stay as far away from her as he could and then wait for her to leave, but she didn't budge

Joe nodded, "Being original with the nickname I see. I'm Joe." he told her, "And what about you?"

Paige had her eyes locked on the small dot out at sea that was Brent. She could tell that he was watching her waiting for her to leave but she leaned back getting herself comfortable with her coke.
