Ryder
Thousands of thoughts went through Ryder's mind. Not that it was uncommon. He scribbled down 'I think too much' and looked back up at her with a smile resulting from the girl's laughter. "Were you born in March?" He asked, looking at her with his head tilted. It could have been interpreted in a few ways, but he hoped she interpreted it the right way. Although casually he'd want someone to interpret it the exact opposite.

      March Plain. Eighteen. Room One.

I looked up, his voice interrupting my thoughts. "stalkerish much?" I say up more straight now, "no, I was born in September. in Oklahoma." I said, quickly, hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions around that area. I tried not to tense up, but it was still visible in my face. "uh, um, it was a small town, not, uh, very memorable."

Ryder
"Then why is your name March?" He asked, confused. He nodded as she mentioned her hometown. She seemed to stiffen; she looked uncomfortable about talking about it. Note: Don't bring that up.

I looked up at him and shook my head, "it's a nickname, March isn't my real name."
I pulled the sleeves of his jacket over my hands in a habit, and looked out the window. it seemed like the sun was going down. I bit the inside of my cheek, watching the sun change the sky's normal blue into multiple colors.

"Ah, that makes sense," He sighed, nodding his head. He glanced out the window. "This is so weird," He said aloud, more to himself than her. He looked back at her and said "I know, bad question to ask, but why are you here? Sorry." He apologized "Shouldn't have asked that," He whispered, scolding himself.

I flinched at his question, looking down. I usually would shout 'none of your business!' or some other snappy comment, but I've been rather soft with this boy. I pushed my hair to one side, thinking over the question. "let's just say I came from a childhood no one should ever come from. and I'm sorry if I wake up at night..." I whisper quietly, "I get meltdowns and anxiety from it...there's nothing to be scared of, at this point, so it's sorta hard to explain why it still comes back to me, but...I panic a lot. at night. and yeah."
I shrugged. I looked up at him, wanting to ask why he was here. but I kept back.

"It's okay," He paused and slowly considered to continue talking. "If you ever need to just talk or are just scared, we can talk," He said gently. In his mind, he was wondering what was going on. He was never like this towards new people. Yet he just wasn't feeling it her. He just didn't quite feel that need, yet had no idea as to why. He looked at her again and sighed. "I'll probably be so comfortable I'll be asleep but if you need to, I'm a light sleeper," He said carefully.

I listen to him, and I hadn't realized I had a small smile on my face. I didn't want to annoy him at night, I told him it would be fine..but I couldn't. something told me to take him up on the offer. I pressed my lips together, taking my pillow and sitting up. I through my pillow at him, with force, "that's for being too nice to me." I said, and sat back down, "but either way, um, thanks."

"Dude!" Ryder exclaimed with a smile on his face. He fell dramatically onto the bed "I have died. All thanks to you!" He stuck his tongue out like a child. From his sprawled out position, he hurled her pillow across the room back to her. He looked outside again, but still laid on the bed, which impressively hadn't been messed up yet from the constant motion he has been in. he bit his lip, staring up at the ceiling, then fake choked "I can see the light!"

I made a small scream when the pillow was thrown back at me, laughing. I scoffed and rolled my eyes, I walk over to him and hit him with the pillow, "don't," another hit,"die," another one, "on me." I hit him on more time with the pillow, but I leave it on his head. I laugh a bit, crossing my arms, "and stop being so d**n dramatic,"
