Kevin has a surfer's body.
Well defined muscles; not just from surfing, but also from a variety of other sports. Since he is almost always shirtless, his skin is a nice sun-kissed tan and he never does burn. His hair is a dark chocolate brown color, and Kevin has never died it. His eyes are a deep, rich blue color, everyone always telling him that his eyes are what connects him to the ocean.
Kevin does have his ears pierced. And he has been debating about getting a back tattoo. But, other than that, he has no other piercings or tattoos.
Well, needless to say, Kevin is quite confident with his body and physical fitness. He did some boxing in the past, so self-defense isn't a problem.
His wardrobe mostly consists of slightly baggy but form fitting jeans, solid colored t-shirts and any kind of show he deems comfortable to wear and easy to put on and slip off. He also owns loads of tank tops and very few long sleeves since, sooner or later in the day, he will end up at the beach or wherever water is present, with his shirt off. It's a habit.

Kevin is a really outgoing person.
He loves smiling and laughing and just having a good time. That being said, he is also a really laid back type of a person. He tends to just go with the flow.
He has two favorite places that he likes to turn to when he needs to think; his bed and the water. If he is with you and just suddenly disappears, which happens a lot, Kevin will most likely be out in the water, surfing, standing, or just sitting there. He's also called the ocean his second home and everyone knows that it's true.
He is also pretty affectionate to both his friends and goodhearted strangers. He gives hugs out like he does smiles, and always hangs on the person closest to him with an arm around their shoulders. He even kisses cheeks a lot when he is in a super-ultra-good mood. Some people see this as flirting, but it's just the kind of guy Kevin is.
He tries to be optimistic, but when something gets him down, he tends to keep whatever is bothering him to his self. If he's sad, he isn't able to sleep well so he'll be extremely tired, which is unusual since he always has an abundant amount of energy.
Kevin is a really trusting and trust worthy friend, definitely someone you want on your side in a fight -though he likes to keep the peace-, and a great guy to know if you want a little spark of 24/7 happiness in your life.

Kevin and his two older siblings hadn't gotten much attention when they were children, so they grew up really closely, together with their two neighbors Ray and her brother Drake.
His parents constantly left them at their summer home by the beach every time they went on their vacations together, so Kevin suspects that his love for the ocean came from always swimming and wondering off into it from his childhood.
He and his parents aren't that close at all. They supple him with living funds every month, and Kevin only ever speaks to his older siblings every now and then. He won't admit that it's a little lonely, though.

Ray is barely above 5'5'' and has a slightly muscular/toned body from quite a few years of boxing with her brother and Kevin. Because she day dreams so much, she is also in shape because of all the tree climbing and bike riding that she does. She's definitely not skinny, but she isn't over weight either. She just looks...well, small in a you-can-fit-into-every-hide-and-seek-spot-known-to-man. It helps that shes flexible from all the stretching she had to do for boxing and self defense classes.
Ray actually is happy with how she is proportioned, unlike the stereotypical teenage girl, there really isn't anything Ray would want to change.
Her hair is a natural red chestnut color, and never once as Marylin died it, as she sees no point in doing that yo your hair. Her eyes are a dark, dark chocolate brown and she has a light natural tan to her skin. She does wear glasses, but does have times where she wears clear prescription contacts.
Ray's wardrobe is entirely made up of what she calls 'baggy skinny' jeans and sweats with over sized shirts, long sleeves, sweaters and hoodies. She really doesn't like tight clothing or shorts, or anything like that. Dresses are fine, but only occasionally will she wear one. She's always in a closed toed shoe, usually of the Converse brand, and always wears socks whether it's with a pair of shoes or going to bed.
Each of her ears has a single piercing and she has a tattoo of a dandelion on her right shoulder. -> Click
She also has a scar running from the left side of her collar bone, to the left side of her shoulder, and then down to the back of her left shoulder blade. A few other scars are scattered over her left arm and left side, but she doesn't ever really give anyone a chance to see those.

Ray is the day dreamer. She is almost always in her own world, so she easily comes off as a quiet and shy person. Usually, she won't take the initiative in establishing any sort of relationship with someone, so you'll have to work her into a friendship. Once she opens her world up to you, she can actually talk quite a bit, and loves to laugh and smile with someone close. She is a thoughtful person though, and respects it when someone needs alone time, because sometimes she needs that too. Then she can be really childish because she likes stuffed animals and lollipops. She won't hesitate to play the crane game for a small stuffed animal if she has a few dollars to spare.
She is more of an observer on the edge of a crowd, rather than a part of the crowd. She notices the small things most people don't. That's why she's pretty good at picking up what kind of mood a person is in by their body language, and she has a thing for figuring out when someone is lying. She knows this is because she always been off in her own thoughts, so she got good at reading other people and looking at the small details.
Exploring has always been a thing for Ray. She likes the thought of walking through an abandoned building, during the day of course -nighttime might not be doable-, and something about the paranormal intrigues her.
Reading books is something she loves to do, because she likes to picture the story as a movie. Her imagination is wonderfully creative and colorful, so she tends to be one of the most optimistic people out there, but whatever she is feeling can easily be seen on her face. She isn't good at hiding what she is feeling, but lying is completely different topic for her. She's good at making up stories, and although she doesn't like it, she will lie for one of her friends if they need her to. She can be quite determined to do something as well, thanks to growing up with her older brother. Also because of her older brother, Ray has a motherly nature where she just wants to take of people when they are sad or hurt mentally of physically. She always seemed like the older sister between her and her brother, and her brother's childish personality didn't help or improve with age.

But, on the way back, a drunk driver had ran a red light and slammed into the drivers side of the car. Ray can't remember the crash itself, but her dad had died and everyone had taken it to the heart. Drake had become more mature for a while. comforting Ray while she holed herself up in her own world and had become quieter every since. Their mom had sunken into a depression, so her and Drake were sent to their uncle, but he was just starting his own married life, so Ray and Drake just relied on each other. Drake was okay, he had liked getting alone with their uncle and his family, but Ray had pulled him away from being in that happy life, so she feels bad because of that.

Sam has a body that he hides underneath long sleeves and sweaters. He works out when he has the time to, so his six pack and back muscles are something he has a little man pride in.
His hair is black and super soft. He usually just gets out of the shower and towel dries it, then runs his fingers through it and goes on with his day. Very rarely will he take the time to style it up with gel, so it hangs loose, down in his face, swept to the side. He also does this to hide his ear piercings, though, with his hair hanging longer over his ears.

Since he is always in a plaid button up, a sweater, or both, or a long sleeve, no one ever sees his tattoos. He's pretty sure Marylin has seen them too, since she's had to take care of him and Kevin when they caught a cold from swimming in the ocean during the winter.

◐Personality◑
Sam is a really sweet guy. He's not a loud person by nature, so he is on the quiet side, but you'll never find a nicer person. He likes to help people out if he can, so whenever someone asks for his help with school then he won't hesitate to give it.
Since he's a quiet guy, he doesn't socialize much, but he does have a few good friends. Kevin and Marylin being two, the rest are out in his cousins, Eli's, home town.
Although Sam's sweet and quiet, he can't help the abundant amount of childish curiosity he has.
After he saw Eli get his tattoos, he wondered what it'd be like and went ahead a got two. He pierced his own ears in the eighth grade simply out of the curiosity and want of earrings. He didn't know what parties were like when he was fourteen, so the very first party Eli ever took him too, he got drunk. Really drunk, because he wanted to know what alcohol tasted like.
His curiosity may not be the greatest thing for Sam to have, but sometimes he can't help but to do stuff randomly. His short attention span also probably plays a part in that.
Sam definitely knows what's right and wrong in his book, though. He won't ever take drugs, smoke, sleep around, or cheat on someone he really likes. He hates guys like that, but won't say it out loud. He doesn't want to speak bad about anyone, because he doesn't want to hurt someones feelings. However, Sam will stand up for himself and his friends.
And, even though he's like that, he still gets the lonely feeling every now and then, but it's constantly present in the back of his heart and mind. He's an only child, and he doesn't really get along with his parents, so he keeps to himself a lot around anyone, and can't express his emotions as well as he probably should. Since he's usually calm and collected, his poker face and lies are wonderfully believable.
Sam is truly a sweet guy though. It takes a lot to make him mad, since he's used to all the stereotypical jokes and bullying he's been through his whole life because he's half Asian and super smart. But his patience is great, and he easily forgives. That's probably why, being the sweet guys he is, he is really gullible, trusting, and easily taken advantage of.
◊Things To Know◊
.Sam tends to seek out an adventure, whether that be spending hours reading an amazing book, or hiking up the path of a mountain. Either adventure he goes for, he always, always enjoys going to the amusement and water parks.
.Coffee is like his addiction. It's what keeps him functional for studying and for just being alive.
.Sam prefers rainy whether. He likes the rain and walking around it, or staring out at it through his window with a cup of coffee in hand and a good book in the other.

Sam comes from a rich, mixed family. His dad is Korean American, and his mom is Caucasian. They enforced a lot of rules when he was young, but never gave him the time of day except to scold or correct him in school or with his manners and how he acts.

He's pretty sure Marylin has seen them too, since she's had to take care of him and Kevin when they caught a cold from swimming in the ocean during the winter.

◐Personality◑
Sam is a really sweet guy. He's not a loud person by nature, so he is on the quiet side, but you'll never find a nicer person. He likes to help people out if he can, so whenever someone asks for his help with school then he won't hesitate to give it.
Since he's a quiet guy, he doesn't socialize much, but he does have a few good friends. Kevin and Marylin being two, the rest are out in his cousins, Eli's, home town.
Although Sam's sweet and quiet, he can't help the abundant amount of childish curiosity he has.
After he saw Eli get his tattoos, he wondered what it'd be like and went ahead a got two. He pierced his own ears in the eighth grade simply out of the curiosity and want of earrings. He didn't know what parties were like when he was fourteen, so the very first party Eli ever took him too, he got drunk. Really drunk, because he wanted to know what alcohol tasted like.
His curiosity may not be the greatest thing for Sam to have, but sometimes he can't help but to do stuff randomly. His short attention span also probably plays a part in that.
Sam definitely knows what's right and wrong in his book, though. He won't ever take drugs, smoke, sleep around, or cheat on someone he really likes. He hates guys like that, but won't say it out loud. He doesn't want to speak bad about anyone, because he doesn't want to hurt someones feelings. However, Sam will stand up for himself and his friends.
And, even though he's like that, he still gets the lonely feeling every now and then, but it's constantly present in the back of his heart and mind. He's an only child, and he doesn't really get along with his parents, so he keeps to himself a lot around anyone, and can't express his emotions as well as he probably should. Since he's usually calm and collected, his poker face and lies are wonderfully believable.
Sam is truly a sweet guy though. It takes a lot to make him mad, since he's used to all the stereotypical jokes and bullying he's been through his whole life because he's half Asian and super smart. But his patience is great, and he easily forgives. That's probably why, being the sweet guys he is, he is really gullible, trusting, and easily taken advantage of.
◊Things To Know◊
.Sam tends to seek out an adventure, whether that be spending hours reading an amazing book, or hiking up the path of a mountain. Either adventure he goes for, he always, always enjoys going to the amusement and water parks.
.Coffee is like his addiction. It's what keeps him functional for studying and for just being alive.
.Sam prefers rainy whether. He likes the rain and walking around it, or staring out at it through his window with a cup of coffee in hand and a good book in the other.
.He lives in his apartment alone -> Click but doesn't like the emptiness at all. The lonely feelings are probably what made Kevin and him such good friends.
.He plays two instruments, the piano and violin.
.He does own a motorcycle but only drives it on the weekends. He walks to school so not a lot of people know about it.
.He works at the local pet shop, but the owner loves him and knows he has a busy schedule, so he works on his own hours, whenever he has free time really.
.When he plays truth or dare, he likes taking a dare, and will almost always follow through with it unless he doesn't think the dare asked is okay to do.
✺ Past ✺
Sam comes from a rich, mixed family. His dad is Korean American, and his mom is Caucasian. They enforced a lot of rules when he was young, but never gave him the time of day except to scold or correct him in school or with his manners and how he acts.
Being an only child, he was constantly alone in their big house. His parents were either always at work or gone on a business trip. They gave him all these expectations on who he should grow up to be, so Sam being the trusting, innocent little kid he was, tried to make them proud. He took piano and violin lessons, got personal tutors so he excelled at the top of his class. But now, he doesn't really see the point in trying to please people how never praise him, or never even call to say hello. Nevertheless, studying is easy for him so academics aren't a problem. Life's okay for Sam, but he knows it could be so much better he if just stopped trying to please his parents.
