naмe :: Clark James Branch was naed to honor his great grandfather who died fighting in some war. Clark can never really remember which, but is proud to be named after such a hero.
nιcκ naмe :: He often calls himself Superman, due to sharing the same first name as his favorite comic book hero. Nobody else really calls him that though, and he would probably love anyone who did forever. The young man doesn't really have any other nicknames, as Clark is a rather short name. However, he does get the odd CJ from his little sister.
вιятнday :: Clark is eighteen years old and was born on the eighteenth of November. There's nothing really much to say about his birthday, as the day really has no significance.

He usually wears a pair of jeans rather than anything fancy, and just a pair of converse or something. He has been known to wear a beanie or a snapback every now and then. Most of his clothes have a geeky theme to them, mainly something to do with comic books as the young man has quite an obsession with them.

Nothing has changed in the years since his mother's death, except for maybe the fact his father has gotten worse and worse.
ℓιкєѕ :: Clark has a fondness for many things. Those include pranks, skateboarding, dc comic books, horror movies, pizza, adrenaline rushes, drawing, and his rather crappy mustang. While it isn't in the best shape, he treats it like it is. Any car is better than nothing right?

• personality
  Link is a very... charming person. A few words that would describe him well are carefree, mischievous, and honest, though one could hardly capture him in three words. He can often come off as arrogant and vain, boasting about his feats and how amazing he is, but he's only joking. He's very daring and extremely determined - or hard-headed, some might prefer - and would do some of the stupidest things, if only to prove someone wrong. As far as stupidity versus bravery goes... well, Link wavers somewhere in the middle, taking things to lengths that many would find to be idiocy. He doesn't really care about what others say about him, though he's generally a likable fellow. He typically gets along well with others, as he loves to socialize and make friends. He goofs off and messes around a lot, but he's much brighter and quicker than one may think. No one gives him credit for how intelligent he truly his. Once you get to know Link, you would find him to be an excellent friend. Extremely loyal and reliable, Link puts those he loves and cares for first, before even himself. He's very honest, to both those he cares for and even those he doesn't. He's a man of his word, and when he promises something [which he only does for those he cares for], he will go to whatever lengths necessary to hold true to that promise. He tries to be completely honest about whatever he can, and he has very little to hide from anyone. He's like an open book - almost anyone can read him, and he allows them to. One could call him a 'tell it like it is' kind of guy, and he believes his attitude helps others - after all, lying and half-truths never helped anyone. The easily-offended have a habit of not getting along well with Link. Despite all this, the fact that he has such a severe anger disorder makes it dangerous for almost anyone to be around him, especially alone. He tries to contain it, but once he gets angry, he has little control over himself - the rage just takes over, turning him into a completely different person.

  Despite his almost carefree attitude, Link's history is no fairy tale. Link, if asked, would merely say that his history was boring and uneventful, though that is not necessarily true. His life was going fine - at first. He was born to two happy, young parents - until his sister, Madelynn, was born, two years later. His sister's birth sparked some sort of argument between his parents, one he still doesn't understand and one his mother cannot explain. The arguments became numerous and frequent and led to the young couple's eventual divorce. The custody worked out oddly, sending Link to live with his father, and leaving Madelynn to reside with their mother. Unable to handle the grief of losing his wife and second child, Link's father turned into an abusive drunk. Link, even at his young age, quickly learned to stay out of his way, which spared him some pain, but the scars he bears today are proof that he did not escape completely unscathed. The man, with help, eventually began to recover, but he still had his... days. Despite the pain Link's father had caused him, Link did enjoy some pleasant times with the man, and has a few fond memories to look back on, even if the painful ones are more overwhelming. When Link reached the age of nine, his father died of alcohol poisoning - the man had never fully recovered from his divorce. Link was not informed of the way his father died until years later; at the time, he was simply told that he had been 'a very sad man', which made Link wonder if one could truly die from too much sadness. He was sent to live with his mother and sister, and quickly bonded with the two, despite years of never knowing them. Things were going well for a couple of years - he got involved with school, made new friends - but nothing good ever lasts. Link's anger disorder began to rear its ugly head, flaring up badly now and then, causing him to get in trouble often. The worst 'incident' occurred when he was twelve. He was playing a game with ten-year-old Madelynn, and something happened. Perhaps she broke a rule, or she was playing unfairly, or maybe she cheated - the details are lost to him, now. But the simple act irritated Link, and set off something much worse, causing sudden rage to spark in him. In his haze of fury, he grabbed a knife from the kitchen and attacked her with it, nearly killing her before his mother managed to separate the two. Madelynn recovered, but Link did not. He was sent to behavioral counseling, talking to therapists, taking medication, kept under strict supervision. He tried, but it was never enough. When he entered high school at fifteen, things only got worse. He often got into fights, and after he badly injured quite a few of his classmates, his mother decided the best thing to do was move to Hazel Park and give him a fresh start.

  Link's eyes are one of his most striking features [though one can't forget his handsome looks]. One of the deepest shades of blue you ever did see, his eyes have a habit of holding someone's attention, though some may find it unnerving to try and keep eye contact with him for too long. Almost an indigo color, Link's eyes are a brilliant cobalt, vibrant and lively.

  Link's hair is a very dark, dusky shade of brown, hovering towards a color quite similar to black, especially when observed from afar. Many have mistaken it for the inky color. When observed more closely, it has a habit of shimmering into different shades underneath bright lights - copper, russet, sepia. He's got a whole rainbow of brown going on.

  The boy is quite tall, towering over most, at a height of six feet, one inch. He strives to keep himself physically fit, giving him a fairly muscular build—though he manages to avoid looking overly bulky or hulking.

  Like most typical males, Link has never been one to be 'dressy' or particularly striking with his choice of attire. For the most part, he wears a simple, loose t-shirt, most likely featuring some sort of witty or amusing graphic. These are accompanied by a pair of loose jeans or shorts, depending on the season or temperature. He'll often go barefoot, but when he doesn't, he can be found wearing a simple pair of sneakers.

  Link has a simple Celtic trinity tattooed on the inside of his left wrist, representing the unity of heart, soul, and mind. He strives to reach such unity, and find peace with his disorder. Most don't notice Link's scars until he exposes them - which is quite rarely, because the boy hates the onslaught of questions that inevitably follow. Most are old scars, marring the flesh of his back - faded to an ugly white, criss-crossing over each other in a crude pattern. These scars are quite thick, though he hardly notices them himself anymore. To the question "where did you get those?", Link merely replies with a smile and says, "Let's just say I had daddy problems."
