The noise echoed throughout the room; slowly waking the sleeping girl. Danielle shifted in her bed, rustling the sheets a bit until her hand slamed down on the hello kitty alarm clock. Her limbs felt like bricks when she lifted herself from her warm nest. The chill of the room sent shivers down her spine and she quickly got ready for the day. She pulled a thick sweater over her head and attempted to tame the mess of her hair. Her pillow was always her favorite haristylist. When she was able to fashion it into a messy braid, she slipped on a pair of slacks and her favorite green winter coat. She stumbled a bit while going down stairs and poked her head into the kitcken. "I'm heading out Auntie," Dani said quietly. Her Aunt nodded with a smile and returned to her morning crossword. Danielle grabbed her boots, hat, and scarf and dashed out the door. She made her way though the yards of her neighboors and walked down the street which was already buzzing with early risers. Finally, she reached her destination. It was a little walk from the main street but it was still one of her favorite places in this town; the park. The side walks and trees were still covered with the night frost and the grass crunched under her rubber boots. Dani settled her self on the bottom of a slide and she pulled out her molskin journal. Her eyes skimmed the park until they falled upon an elder woman feeding the local chickadees and robins. Danielle whipped out her pencil and strted to sketch away, the forms of the woman and birds slowly taking their shape. The cold bit her nose while her breaths puffed out of her slightly parted lips. Winter, it was finally here.

I was walking through the park. Just got out of the house very very relieved. I was on my phone just posting random pictures on instagram. You know just a thing I like to do you know. I saw many people at the park amd wanted to make someone laugh you know its just me. So uh I didny really know who I should talk to. Preferably my age. Preferably a girl. Yes keep it coming Mat. I laughed inside my head.

Dani rubbed, scratched and ran down the tip of her pencil, trying to catch every detail in her sketch. She loved art, all and any. She believe that the world was a beautiful piece or work. Some part beautiful, some horible and frightening. Some parts finished and some still in progress. Everything was art. She could find beauty in anything and anyone but wouldn't dare say it. She would just drown in her own words. She placed the pencil next to her and blew her warm breath on the tips of her fingers, deciding to take a quick break. She laid back onto the slide and started at the grey sky.

I bit my lip. There was a girl my age over there but should I go and talk to her. You know what I should. I walked over to her. But not all the way. I saw that she knew how to draw. But then I said "So I see you know how to draw " I said.

Danielle jumped a bit when a voice interuppeed her thoughts. She quickly sat up and looked to the sorce of the voice. "A-a b-boy?" she thought as she scrambled to say something. "U-umm yeah...I like to d-draw," Dani stuttered as she looks down at her lap where the drawing laid.
